- The sad story of the kind and upright Lieutenant Zhang Bu Xun was the arc that I found to be the most interesting part in "The Lost Tomb 2". I actually wished it was longer because I was enjoying the backstory so much.
I really loved Zhang Bu Xun's character and felt so sad what happened to him. I wish he had followed a better leader who shared the same ideals and goals as him. Someone like Fo Ye of "The Mystic Nine" would have been a perfect leader for him to work with but sadly, they never met as Fo Ye was stationed in Changsha. It's such a pity that someone as emphatic and upright as Lieutenant Zhang Bu Xun ended up with a tragic fate.
On a side note, I really loved the brotherhood of Lieutenant Zhang and Adjutant Dou Cheng. The actors' chemistry here is as good as it was in "Love and Redemption". Out of all Huanrui agengy's actors, I like Han Cheng Yu's chemistry with Cheng Yi the most. :)

Cheng Yi has that magic that draws you in. His great acting skills, the sincerity and his true love for this profession and how humble he is just makes him stand out a lot in my books.

Indeed it was. For me, Zhang Bu Xun's story was the most interesting and touching part of The Lost Tomb S2. It was so well executed that I wish it lasted longer :D

Just when I thought that at least in this show I'll enjoy watching Cheng Yi play a cool badass guy without any excessively painful scenes and they had to add this character, just so that he can show off his specialty 😆
Oh my.. Finally I had a time to watch The Lost Tomb. Spoiling myself with this arc, I literally wanna scream. His acting is so amazing!!.. Cheng Yi in uniform always looks great and what is this onion tears haaa!! T_T admin you're so talented in editing .

I'm worried it might ruin your watching experience since this arc was literally the best thing in the entire drama 😂 The whole drama was only so so in my opinion but I especially enjoyed Zhang Bu Xun's story arc. Cheng Yi, as always was super awesome in his role and he looked so handsome in the republican era uniform.

Do i have to watch the first one?
The Lost Tomb 2 pretty much jumps right into the story and doesn't re-introduce the characters like season 1. They assume you've already seen the 1st season so you should know who is who and why they know each other 😃 But other than that both seasons have different story arcs so in a way you won't miss much. My personal opinion... I found season 1 very boring (too much talking and story didn't go anywhere) so I didn't remember much from that season. While watching the 2nd season I was still able to grasp the storyline.
