I had a black one, heavily influenced by my love of BTCC championship and the Team Dynamics Primera GT. Very reliable for me, i stuck on a 4inch straight thru stainless exhaust, she sounded great under bridges. Very tight suspension, she"d hold the road alright, easily noticable coming from an 8v Astra GTE that i had previous.
Very agreeable cars to drive, I just very much enjoy this. The SR20 engine does tend to be quite dependable. Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting!
Brilliant, Mr Lloyd, I genuinely can't remember the last time I saw one of these on the road. This generation looks far more handsome than the facelift model with the gingercatered.
@lloydvehicleconsulting But do you prefer the 1999 post facelift Nissan Almera that the Mildred's had, I personally think it looked much current now than its facelift replacement did.
i am from Auckland New Zealand, And since uk is our grandmother country. Our currency is still none the less more. When converted from pound to nz dollar or vice versa 1000 pound being $2144.73 at the current conversion rate i own the nissan primera 1996 camino and it has the sr20de engine japan imported but how ever i like these cars and seeing them on the road in Auckland new zealand.cheers for the video.
Peak era of Nissan for the Primera. I beleive the wood has been added at some point. I used to be friends with a girl whose Dad owned a P11 Primera Inspiration so very familiar with the P11 Primera. A excellent review as always Sir.
Never managed to reach the heights of the primera, but I started with a 1999 micra, then a 94 Sunny 3 door and finally a bright Red 98 Almera 1.6 SRI which was lovely. Never had one problem with any of them, apart from when A london black cab rear ended my micra,
I have driven an N14 Sunny (also known as the Y10 Traveller) on the channel, and it was absolutely great. The same owner also had a K11 Micra 1.0 Special Edition, which I also very much enjoyed. Shame about your Micra!
@@lloydvehicleconsulting I wrote the taxi off, and £1000 damage to my yellow micra, had it repaired but it never quite felt the same. Im glad I got the sunny, bit more space, it was a 1.4 but still no more power compared to the micra1.3.
I fairly certain the GT could have the electric rear windows but it must have been an option or introduced later into production. I’m on my 2nd GT now, my first was a 98 hatch and my current one is a 97 saloon. The 98 car did have electric rear windows but the current 97 one doesn’t.
Yes, it does seem that rear electric windows on these earlier P11 Primera GTs was either an option, or they were unavailable. Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting!
I had a 1.6 gx in silver, S reg. Bought for £350 from a backstreet dealer in Chatham. The electric window regulator didn't work and needed to be replaced and the air conditioning needed a regas but apart from that it performed admirably for 3 years. It did have a tendency to give me electric shocks though, but I forgive it for that. Good car.
Nissan got it so right with the P11. Not sure what happened with the P12 but everything they did right with the 11 was not at all carried over or improved upon for the newer model. The late mid to late 90s was a fine period for cars
The early 1.6s were a GA16 engine as used in the N15 Almera as well, so I imagine that would have been in your car as well. They are also great engines, actually.
@lloydvehicleconsulting it's quite rare indeed! One of the last 144 with the SR20 and manual gearbox. It's even ulez compliant! It's a bit rough around edges but goes and drives well.
Very nice car Joseph a couple of my friends in the early 90s both had Bluebirds very nice I say I think they wer 2 litre engines best regards Andy Allen.
In hindsight, the era of the finest cars ever made . All the kit you really need without the silly tech you don’t.
We did enjoy it, sir, but I would have preferred a leather interior with some nice rear electric windows, of course.

I had a 1.6 SLX as a company car back in 1999 and I loved it. Brilliant to see this on the channel.
Me too! Best gearbox on any manual I’ve ever driven. Would have loved the GT but I wasn’t management.😂
It was certainly a most enjoyable car, although I would trade a bit of the power for some extra luxurious if it were me.
Brilliant, Mr Lloyd, I genuinely can't remember the last time I saw one of these on the road. This generation looks far more handsome than the facelift model with the gingercatered.
Sir, we personally prefer the facelifted P11s, but I seem to be in the minority in that regard....
@lloydvehicleconsulting
But do you prefer the 1999 post facelift Nissan Almera that the Mildred's had, I personally think it looked much current now than its facelift replacement did.
The N15 and N16 are completely different cars, sir. The N16 was not a facelift of the N15.
@lloydvehicleconsulting
My mistake Mr Lloyd
No problem at all, sir!

The wood dash kit was an accessory option according to the Brochure.

Thank you for the confirmation, Mr Watters! Yes, I suspected the wood may be aftermarket.
I had the 2 litre estate. Did 155000 very enjoyable miles with no problems.
They could probably do stupid mileages as long as they were maintained properly.
Yes, like most cars of the era....
The 406s in particular are surprisingly rust resistant.
Yes, I have driven two 406 V6 Saloons and a V6 Coupé. All of them were fantastic.
I had one for two years it was pretty good, reliable etc, unfortunately it was scrapped due to rust
Oh, it's always the way with this P10 and P11 Primeras, unfortunately. Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting!

Yes, the 1.3 in the K11 Micra was similar in power output to the 1.4 in the N14 Sunny.
I bought a 4 year old 1999 2 litre SLX from auction for under £3000 with 70k and 1 lease owner, my first nissan great car.
The P11s seem to be surprisingly good cars. The main problem is actually finding a good one these days.
Nice review, sir, thank you.
We aim to please, sir!

That sounds like a really good deal for £350! Must have been a while ago now. I remember buying cars of that era for that sort of money....
I recon there' was some calibration with mazda so very similar even the engine battery ppwer steering reservoir ate in the same place 😊
Could just be a coincidence, sir, I don't believe there is any official connection....

Yes, the P12 was completely different and shared few, if any, parts with the P11.
Its funny the 1.6 also seemed to have a flat spot in tbe same sorr of area 4-5 k which I found often on the German autobahns.
The early 1.6s were a GA16 engine as used in the N15 Almera as well, so I imagine that would have been in your car as well. They are also great engines, actually.
the wood was a option and not one id of gone for in a GT and the GT SE was SE spec with a GT engine
Thank you very much indeed for watching and commenting!
You were in Eastleigh at the start
You are correct, sir.
If you're ever up in Scotland, more than welcome to come and try my p11 144 sport plus estate. If it may make an interesting video
That's very kind indeed! Sounds like quite a rare model of car.
@lloydvehicleconsulting it's quite rare indeed! One of the last 144 with the SR20 and manual gearbox. It's even ulez compliant! It's a bit rough around edges but goes and drives well.
We do enjoy the SR20 very much, don't we?

If you look on the Sensible Secondhand Reviews/Classics playlist, you may well find a video on a 1990 Nissan Bluebird...
@@lloydvehicleconsulting I certainly will thanks Joseph Andy.
Hope you enjoyed it!
BTCC special edition?
Not as far as I know, I did check all the trim levels.
There was a special edition in metalic mystic green with a chroma flare effect.
Interesting...
I just l want to buy 1 lm in Zimbabwe
Not sure how many would be left over there....
When Nissan made the best cars in the world.....although there getting back form after there sacked Carlos Ghon
As the owner of a 1989 Nissan Sunny N13, I do agree that they made some fantastic cars in the 1980s and 1990s.
P10 is better
Driven three of those as well...
