(not very)Fun fact: in Norton's deducations (or birthday letter I'm not sure) he talk about he won the game and a woman died. He says he deserved to survive and she didn't. And he describes her as a rich snobby woman (description fits Vera) soo is this video a hint? Maybe Norton sacrifed Vera to survive?

I don't think he said anything solid about him actually winning, he only just stated "I have to get rid of her before she does anything to me"
Some analysis may conclude that Vera and him probably did not get along (Vera doesn't like broken, dirty things and the smell of hospital disinfectant. In which Norton is pretty beaten up and poor and kind of dirty given his line of work, and he was probably discharged from the hospital after the mining accident (since he woke up in a hospital and stayed there for awhile based on an official Famitsu article)
I don't think she died...? He did describe her as having no care for other's lives, and that she was arrogant ("All lives are equal" - Norton said in his birthday letter). He also seemed afraid that she may "do something to him" which meant Vera was planning to kill or harm him too, and he should do something about it before she does it to him. Which in Vera's case is probably possible, since she did murder her own sister just out of jealousy.
Maybe Norton's 'get rid of' doesn't mean killing her, but quickly repelling her away xD if she gets near
