That "Amen" he did at the end, he must be really grateful to God and to Mark and Bill for giving him a chance to join the GVB after being broke, homeless and uninstable with 2 kids and a wife when they moved to Nashville. God is amazing indeed

LOVE Phelps, but he was testing the waters in this era on what style to sing. He sounds like the Isaacs on this song. I'm glad he changed that.. He is my favorite tenor

David Phelps is terrific. The problem with the performance is Bill Gaither's long, stupid attempt to hog the limelight and Mark Lowry's stupider-than-stupid comic bit. He wasn't funny when he was funny. That comic relief (from really good singers and really good arrangements and good musicians) is never pleasant.
