Hope I'm not too late. I just had my last rodeo with my 1996 Chevy Silverado. I stood next to it with my hand on it for 10 minutes before I sold it to someone else. It just became too unreliable, parts were breaking off, but It was a must to get rid of it. It sucks. I miss it already, but I have the money to get something better hopefully. But it really won't be the same

I'm just happy I got to try out her winter mode just this year since I've had her since (2016) . I know the sensitivity of owning your your. Today we officially said goodbye to our 2005 Serena which had been accompanying us since I was nine. We named him Xiao bai which means little white. He is a good boy, spacious and always carries a home-like feeling. I cried my eyes out when we drive him one last time to the dealer. And I cried my way home as well, my mom thought I need a psychological appointment or something. This feels like losing a pet, or even a family member. I came to this video to know that I'm not the only one who's emotionally connected to their car and to find condolences. And now I'm crying again. I knew it would happen one day but i never thought it would hurt this bad to lose your first car. I sold my 1991 chevy cavalier to the tow company because she was going to cost too much to fix. People would make fun of my car because she was so old and clunky but i loved her to the very end. I will always love you lucy.
I feel exactly the same about my 19 year old Honda Civic. I kept her in the garage every night, so the paint is still shiny. Mechanics always marvel at how good she looks. But repairs are more frequent and panic inducing. I crave the peace of mind of driving a reliable new car.
My first car gave me lots of troubles at the end, so it wasn't too difficult to let it go. But man, my second car was an other deal. I got rear ended and the car was written off. I cared about it so much, spend so much time fixing it... it was really difficult to let it go to the scrapyard.... And my current car is a Saab 900 from 96, the model before your 9-3. Bought non-running, I fixed it all myself and with my best friend. I love that car so much, it's the most luxurious and nice car I ever had. It's going to be really difficult to let it go one day 😭

Guess a lot of people do get attached with even the non living object , when I had an accident I felt that my baby got hurt very badly.... I live in nyc and I fell I can live without my car,,,, one car less on the street
