My mom told me a story a few years ago. She was followed for two nights. The first night she didn’t believe she was truly followed so she switched up her route home and lost the car. The second night she saw the same car. This time she drove him straight to the police station.
I always carry a bat and a knife and pepper spray. Theres been unfortunste times ive traveled long dinstances and got lost with no gps in the middle.of nowhere.....thts when one should carry these weapons lol
I cannot believe that guy, insulting a random stranger...in an isolated bathroom no less?!! That's like when I hush people I'm with, if they get testy with someone in an elevator. Later, "I'm like 'Are you nuts?? You're IN AN ELEVATOR.: Nowhere to go!"
Scary stories here for sure. Being followed has got to be one of the most terrifying feelings, and sometimes the most helpless depending on the situation and location, etc. As a woman and not single but drive alone a lot of the time, I have been followed several times. When I was single and working at night it happened and later when I moved in with my significant other, it happened again when coming home from work at night. I know the feeling all too well. I have also had an incident earlier this year in February where I was followed in the middle of the day by some creep that kept shining their high beams on my mirror, and following me with their front bumper almost touching my back bumper. This went on for several miles on my way to work. It was terrible and I suffer from high anxiety and panic attacks and my anxiety and panic meter went way up. But I had to focus on my driving and tell myself repeatedly that everything is under control and will be ok. Because I was in traffic and on a main busy road and this was going on and I couldn't just speed away from this other driver without risking an accident. I knew I didn't want to go straight to my job because I didn't want that person to know where I was going in case they had some ulterior motive. I couldn't tell who they were, man or woman. I didn't recognize the car or know who they were, etc. I didn't know and still don't to this day know why they were acting they way they were. I didn't cut them off, was not a rude or inconsiderate driver like so many people are nowadays. No, I didn't do anything to them. I have no real answers for this and still do not and it had a very strong affect on me most my swing shift at work. I was a wreck when I got safely into work. My coworkers thought I saw a ghost because I looked just ashen and terrified. I had to excuse myself to the ladies room and in private just cry a few minutes quietly. I told a very nice coworker friend what happened and she said can the police and tell someone. I would have done just that but I couldn't get the license number or easily see the make and model of the car or even identify the driver. What would I tell the police without information? See, that's the problem. The most they would do is take it down into a report but not much or anything would come from it. I got better and eventually moved on and for a time forgot about it and put it out of mind. I recounted it here today because there are things you can do to help yourself. I should have tried to drive in the direction of the police department but I was trying to get to work. Probably not the smartest thing to have done. However, here are some things to help when following happens: 1). ALWAYS, always stay and remain in control of yourself. If you have anxiety or panic attacks like I do, try to tell yourself no matter times you are in control, it's ok. Something, to help you get through it. If it happens when you are in traffic or wherever you are driving, always remember you are to be in control of yourself, your mind and vehicle. Meaning, don't let the situation control you at all. Hard as it may seem, you stay on control. If you get out of control bad things can happen and we don't want that. So, this is first thing. 2) If you have determined you are for sure being followed, try to get identifying information: the driver and vehicle description, license plate, make model, color, etc. This is not always easy to do and if at night may not be possible but do your best with this. The more information you can get the better for a police report. 3) DO NOT drive to your home, your neighborhood or even where you work if you are being followed. Do not lead a perp to your home or neighborhood or place if work, anywhere they could find you. If you have to pass your work place or house or go out of your way to loose them, do it. If it's possible, drive in the direction of the nearest police department or if you see a cop car pulled up on the road side, pull up behind or in front of him. If he questions you, tell him that you are being followed and point out the vehicle if you can. 4). Many who claim to be flowed will engage in driving in high speeds. Oy do this if it's not in busy traffic and it's at a time of day or night where the chances of an accident are minimal. Because being followed or chased can result in accidents. We don't want that. But if it is necessary to speed somewhat to get the attention of the police so someone will stop being after you, then it's what is necessary. 5). DO NOT approach or get of your car or make contact with the driver who is following you. Unless you know them fairly well enough and they are following you because there is something wrong with your car or other problem they are trying to get your attention to, then it may be ok. But if they are stranger, then do not approach them for any reason. Stay in your car, crack your window just slightly and keep your doors locked. If you must or think it necessary to have to make contact with them, make sure to pull over in a busy parking lot or pull into a business that is busy where there are people and witnesses around, like a gas station or a Walmart parking lot. Since you likely don't know that other driver, and you don't know their intentions or motives and you don't know if they have a gun in their car ( a lot of people do here in Utah), etc., act with extreme caution. Don't park in such a way to allow them to box you in. Go to a parking lot and park in a way that if they are creepy or aggressive or whatever or you think they will be volitile, you have an immediate out. 6) Keep your cell phone with you at all times and keep it charged. Be prepared to call 911 or emergency or police. If you do make contact with them in a parking lot, be sure to note their identity and identify the vehicle. If they want to ask you something and they seem nice just keep your window cracked just barely enough to communicate and your doors locked. Ask them if you can help them, if they need direction help ok fine. If they ask you if you could get put of your car to help them, kindly say no. If it's for any other reason and they are seemingly unfriendly, pull out immediately and contact authorities for help. Unless you were involved in an accident with them or their car made contact with yours or vice versa, there is absolutely no reason to get out of the safety of your vehicle for them. This pertains mostly if they are strangers. Now, if it's someone you know well enough and they are trusting, then that's different but even so, it's always good to be cautious and act in a controlled and discerning way. Hopefully, these tips can help someone who does find themselves in a follow type situation. If it happens at night, that's even scarier but the same caution tips should apply. If it's on a freeway, get off on the nearest exit, make sure it's a business area or an exit that leads to a town or city or places of business you can go to for help. If not, you are in the middle of nowhere or there's not another exit for miles, contact the state high patrol or emergency 911 for help. Your cell phone can save your life. Yes, you can call 911 emergency on your phone without cell service. If you could, get to a place where there is service to make the call. If there's a highway patrol officer on the open freeway, get their attention even if it means a speeding ticket because you are in troubles and someone is after you. Don't worry about getting a ticket for speeding, you can always settle it in court and explain the situation. Your safety matters most and if someone is being dangerous and following you then you must do what you need to do according to the situation.

Find a way to appologize get close enough or at a store gas whatever n approach with ease aftwr if u live in red state actually any but especially stand your grou d red n purple states grab from trunk n put behind back saying im sorry explain yourself n apologize walk backward to your teuck better yet when first apologize do it in gastation witnesses if theyre scumbag haul it to next ask clerk call cops then n there about the following. People dont call cops scared of theyre in the wrong
If things get where hes not forgiving have gas. Station. Call police if a ything escort u home n theyll know iff being foiled
He still should have appologized if as he said cut him off. Might keep him from looking over his shoulder they were both assholes him blowing him off n the follower well thats obvious
This is terrible advice that doesn't work. I think. It's nearly unreadable.
