Interesting history Maurice about Whroo and yes the old digger's certainly worked hard for their gold. Beautiful pieces of Gold, well done and thank you for your content look forward to your next instalment. Take care and Cheers 🥂 😊
Nice video.brings back happy memories of detecting in the Whroo and Rushworth areas. Detected my largest nugget in Whroo ,of 6.7 grams....a nice little slug.
Great video Maurice. My wife's sister has a property at the western end of this area that has diggings running up the gully into there property. There are piles of scrap wire and other junk all through the bush around the property and also an old puddler. They bought the property when their kids were young as a motorbike riding spot but over the years of camping there together they have caught gold fever from myself and now swing a 5000. Thanks for sharing the information. Cheers
@metaldetectingfun I can guarantee you that many many people have swung detectors over there property. The fence is nearly none existent. There are a couple of old split ten inch posts if you know where to look. I have found my fair share of lead there with my 6. I have only found crumbs in my pan testing gravels among the mullocks. Not many of them either
Nice gold, interesting about the mine name Balaclava. All the streets in my suburb are named after battles in the Crimean war, Balaclava, Salamanca, etc
Not sure but it's unlikely with the 6 as even with my setup it was doubtful. I nearly walked away twice from it. Both detectors have a role to play and as a newbie the 6000 will probably be easiest to learn.
Gr8 job...rippa finds...shows that ya must dig all targets...(note to self). Thanks for the history.
Yep it could be a big one...
Don’t let the fence stop you. I have a nice little stringer in one of those tunnels that has been paying some nice gold
I am tempted. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Excellent work.
Thanks for your kind comments. This is very much appreciated.

Wow I never made that connection. Thanks
What a great find. Thanks for sharing. As a newbie, I am debating the 6000 or the 7000 GPZ. Would you have found that piece with a 6000? Thank you!

@@metaldetectingfun Thank you!
I wouldve found it with my 4500 as its a matter of walking over it persevering with the digging 👍
