i actually took a day trip to bekaa valley back in 2003. i was fortunate enough to see most of lebanon in 10 days. of course i tried the hashish. it was one of the few times i broke out into bullets of sweat lol. it was a hot day though. it was a very surreal experience actually. i grew up with news clips of the ongoing civil war in the 80's, and you could still see some of the damage caused by the war in beirut. although they had already rebuilt and repaired a lot of it. it was a great trip, good food, good people, good hash, and a damn good time. thanks to all the people who took care of me.

Lebanon is on my bucket list of places to see. I absolutely love the Lebanese people. They built my hometown city (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) and never once had their hands out looking for a freebie or welfare. Ottawa without the Lebanese community would be a boring city. Israel and other Middle East countries don't like Lebanon for the simple fact Lebanese people party, smoke, drink alcohol and enjoy living life as free as possible.
