Did we really need this explanation tho? You simply repeated the exactly same thing the lyrics say, only in a prose form. It's the *music video* that needs an explanation, not the lyrics which are obvious! The video, on the other hand, rises so many questions... like what does she search in the water? Why is the color gamma so dark? What does the piano stand for? Why does it transform into a coffin at the end?

Begging for death not to beckon them, all the while waiting for a chance to die, but not wanting to go out without a reason, so finding any reason possible. It's incredibly intelligent and sad.
