    I started using henna gloss treatments in March 2021. For the first month my hair looked great. It was shinny, defined and strengthened. I mixed the henna with cassia, aloe, Shea butter coco butter, rosemary essential oil and lavender essential oil.
    When April hit, I noticed a change in my hair…it was brittle, frizzy and breaking like crazy. I stopped the henna immediately and shampooed with a sulfate free shampoo and deep conditioned 2 times a week but nothing helped my hair.
    I finally went to the salon , with the intention of shaving off all my hair. My hairdresser said that I had extreme build up and she used a deep clarifying treatment and my hair snapped back to life. I deduced that for me, cowashing the henna gloss out was not enough and I was getting build up, that prevented my deep conditioner and stylers to work. Just a thought if your hair is breaking after using henna glosses weekly. You may have build up.

      Hi! One thing that really helps after henna application is doing heavy hot oil treatments two days after every henna application. Let the oil be on for 24 hours and then wash off with shampoo. This has been the standard practice in India since many years. We always oil our hair after henna application. Hope this helps!

    I'm really puzzled that people say henna dries their hair or makes it itch. I've always found it moisturises and leaves it silky, calm and strong. I don't however, use any bleaches or commercial dyes on my hair. I can't help but suspect people have damaged their hair and tried henna to fix it, but blame the henna for the damage.

      She explained it pretty succintly, henna acts as a protein treatment and too much protein can be drying, that's it, there's no ifs or buts. Maybe your hair specifically lacks protein so it gets extra benefits from henna, but take care to consider that not everybody has the same skin/hair concerns, it's like a person without acne saying acne treatments are useless 🤷

    Keep that mix nice and moist, tightly wrapped...dry henna dry hair, that's the main thing I have noticed. I like a fairly sloppy mix, my hair drinks up all that rich henna tea. I do have to keep on top of dripping but I always experience thicker smoother hair afterwards. Henna really seems to have a slippery texture when fully hydrated and beaten into a smooth loose batter-like consistency.

    I just received my hennasooq henna and I'm trying to be sure I'm doing all my research. I've been using light mountain naturals for about 3+ years now. I've never had a problem with breakage or drying and couldn't understand why other people were. Since you mention protein overload I get it now. I need lots of protein on a fairly regular basis for my hair to stay happy. My hair gets overmoisterized quicker than it gets dry. I can't wait to try this brand on Saturday!

      I just used light moutain red for the very first time yesterday. I used the henna, warm water and a splash of hibiscus tea that was strongly brewed. My hair is EXTREMELY dry now. I've conditioned about 5 to 6 times already, back to back and one deep condition treatment about 2 hours ago that I left on for a little over an hour. My hair is slightly better but not by much. Did you ever experience this, or know what I could do to help my poor hair now? I use oil on my scalp not my hair unless it’s for fragrance. I find I get better definition and a gel cast if I don’t use oil on my hair. When I use oil on my hair, one of two things happen. 1. My hair attracts more dirt and whatever else is in the environment. Or only the ends of my hair has curls. Not the look I’m going for. Without oil on my hair, my hair isn’t dry (oil and water don’t mix and necessitate the need for a harsh shampoo to get them out thus continuing the cycle of dry hair.), my style lasts longer because I have gel cast, and the definition goes from roots to ends.

      Yes, you should be able to when using our products. You don't want to use anything too thick and heavy shortly after dying the hair that will strip the color. You can use henna over previously colored henna hair, but it may deepen the color.

    • @tinaknutsen
      @tinaknutsen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have flat ironed usually the day after … I usually turn my heat setting on my iron down a couple notches just as a precaution as I’m 55 and I don’t have the elasticity that I used to have, I’m prone to frizz, breakage and split ends. I have thick beach wavy hair…so I suggest doing a small section of the under layer of your hair and see how it does

    Hi I have afro hair and I'm going grey. I used to chemically dye my hair but I've now become allergic to the dyes so thinking of trying henna. My main concern is that I have low porosity hair and I also believe that once you start using henna you have to cut it out of your hair if you don't like it. Is that correct? I was looking at using a brand called it's pure organics which is 100% natural and is mixed with cassia, cassia.

    I have jumped into the henna world for the last 5 months. I dye my hair with henna and its been the best decision i made, my hair is so much more healthy and i had very dry and alot of hair loss just because i dyed my hair previously with conventional dyes. Now my hair has grown longer faster, is more shinny and i have baby hairs everywhere. I wash my hair 1 a week with natural organic shampoo, not oily at all, i use my mask for the hydration. But i only dye my full hair 1 a month, in my mind its dye and hair mask in one. I do it all myself, but i do get a professional henna expert to pre mix the henna for me just cos i dont think i know enough about it to mix myself. But i totally love henna, i dont know why i didnt do it sooner would have saved my hair along ti ago if i did. I live in Indonesia so unfortunately I cant get your product, but i love what you have and everyone there is so lucky to be able to buy your product.. love your channel 🥰

    I have been doing henna for years (I took a break for a while but am again). I have very fine Strawberry/golden natural hair. Henna makes it nice and red and stronger. I always add yogurt to my henna mix and a little bit of ground cloves. I don't tend to put any product in my hair or heat to style. It doesn't ever work so why bother 😂 Henna works and makes my hair thicker and fuller and less boring ❤ Most of my ancestors had very red hair. I feel like myself when I have henna red hair. I only do it every 6 or 7 weeks.
