How could this movie even be released? It's appalling to suggest that a woman should marry her rapist and then try to love him. How can anyone fall in love with their rapist?
Throughout the film, her in-laws try to kill her several times, yet she forgives them in the end. This film sends a terrible message that women should forgive their rapists and abusers.
Furthermore, at the end, Raj's sister is killed by Raj's sister-in-law and maternal uncle, but she doesn’t get justice. Rani Mukerji's character is portrayed as foolish for forgiving the people who killed her sister-in-law.
Overall, this movie is awful and gives a disgusting message.
