    kagyed dance..(masked dance) is performed two days before the sikkimese new year..to ward off evil and bring good fortune in the coming year. The dance (known as chaam), symbolizes the victory of good over evil. this dance in the video was performed at Rumtek monastery, aka the dharma chakra centre, also the location of the Nalanda Institute for higher buddhist studies. a must visit for tourists interested in buddhist traditions.
