Nepal should focus on diversifying trade and reduce dependency on India , we will never forget India boderlocked during the earthquake disaster in our country . We must focus on the development of mountain region for equal distribution of population and also to increase trade deals with china. At the same time it's good to have these kind of deals with India but this is the neighbour I trust least.

What about the payment companies that are already running in Nepal.
I think they will shutdown their shop, nepal govt should also account its local payment companies like esewa etc when allowing foreign companies getting in the local market.
India may create transaction dependencies which is very dangerous for any country.
I hope the Nepali govt has factored all the variables before signing the treaty.
Lets not forget the blocked of 2015 , who knows if India creates similar blocked wrt payment transactions
It's good for us Nepali that, now finally we can make international payments through Indian wallets, but at the same time Buying $ items through Indian wallets using Nepali currency will further weaken Nepali currency. Nepal should think of some drastic measures to improve export, or else this country might now get doomed due to a drop in currency exchange value. I wish our stupid prime minister (parchandey) can expand export.

Most countries would make agreements with India to use their respective currencies for trade. After that, all of them would request India to use Chinese Yuan, just like the Russians. Reason is simple as hell, with Chinese Yuan, you can pay for Made in China goods. What can you do with rupee?
