Trust issues + identity issues

please tell me you still trust others. there will always be people out there like me that will respect you and treat you how you want to be perceived.

Now I feel a bit guilty over "wanting everyone to perceive me a certain way" it's rather embarrassing I regret engaging in the act of just forcing people like that but I can't help it though.
For context I have a long complicated (too long and complicated if anything) history of being bullied/ridiculed/ostracized by various people in various environments
