Thanks for all the comment 😁 This has been a mission we’d set ourselves for circa the last 18 months its been a long enjoyable slog with 15 plus sessions under my belt. Most days are slow with the odd Huss and pollack thrown in as its a case of big baits and patience. I’d had 2 runs in the past one being when I ran out of patience decided to cast a clipped flapper rig out using braid resulting in a short lunge and game over 🤦🏽♂️. The second hook up I’d at least got the right rig on but unfortunately the swell had picked up and I’d managed to bring it up to the side of the rock when it rolled and spat the hook. Paul was as close as possible to the waters edge but it was to dangerous and no fish is worth that risk. There a lot of time and effort to be put in for this type of fishing then there’s the tackle you need plus some reliable studded boots. (I use the snowbee rockhopper studded neoprene wellies the grips great and haven’t found better rock footwear yet) We’ve been tweaking our rigs and learning along the way. Big big thanks to Paul he’s an excellent knowledgeable angler and wouldn’t have done it without him we’ve had some great away day mate. 😁 Also a big thanks to all the other guys at wirralseafishing.co.uk that have helped me out along the way 👌🏽 We’re now planning our next targets and new venues 😉 STILL BUZZING!! WHAT A FISH!!!
Belter dyl well done laaa 👏 👏 , another cracking video Paul and without your help and experience dyl wouldn't of landed a fish of a lifetime so well done also 👍

Fantastic fish Dyl and well done for landing it Paul See why u need 150/200b mono after the wire trace very rough skin Just got a load of line crimps wire hooks going in search of the tope this year learnt a lot off your vids on fishing for these beautiful fish 👍
Another GREAT video. Have learned a lot from your uploads, As a returner to sea fishing after 30 years my mobility is not what it used to be and would love any tips you could offer on marks for the less mobile. Have tried Penmon (off the pebble beach), Pwhelli main beach and Newborough (Anglesey), all with a little bit of success. But am struggling to find anywhere else. Are there other marks you could suggest, perhaps in a dedicated video to this subject. I SERIOUSLY don't want to go back to coarse fishing again 😣
thank you amlwch has good access fishing of a harbor wall very good fishing and should suit your needs also also colwyn bay prom offers fishing straight out the car and can fish very well over high water
@@StarfishSeaFishing Hi. Thanks for your prompt response. I've thought about Colwyn Bay for whiting in the winter and might give it a go if no distance casting involved. Am based in Cheshire. Used to be able to cast a double lug rig 140-160 yards (pendulum) but since my stroke, only 60-70 yards if i'm lucky. Have SO missed sea angling. Didn't realise what a therapeutic an activity it was in my younger years, but, as always, time teaches what we need to know. Keep uploading the videos. I NEED them. Still think a video for the less mobile would be interesting though. Perhaps when you have time?
@@StarfishSeaFishing Cheers. Am able to go next week, so will check the tides and give Colwyn a go. When i started sea fishing I used to love fishing the bandstand in Birkenhead (?). Some whacking great whiting there. and no casting distance needed. Is it still any good? I love talking fishing with someone who knows what they are talking about. I used to be that person in my local fishing club!!!
there all over the place they travel for miles so you have to have a bit of luck also try out from tradarda bay you should find some out from there but you will fresh bait i dont do boats but you should find some around there in a rib
@@StarfishSeaFishing cheers pal, is there a specific tide time thats best? Going down next weekend and high tide is 7am, I’m thinking it may have to be an early trip out
We brought the net can not rember were from its 27inch by 25inch and we removed the short poll and used a 6ft alloy poll a circle shape would be better about 28 to 30inch I would recommed
Great vid, looking to travel up that way this year and that looks a great mark

25 to 30 lb with a 80 lb shock leader
