I could listen to Marc forever. When we debated in philosophy class at BYU, I would have been fine hearing a whole lot less from him given how I was on the losing end. But what a remarkable person. Thanks, Mike, for facilitating this insight into his life as well as the inside story of the great teams of the past. I especially appreciate there is no hesitation to talk about things that are sacred and intimate.
Being a transfer.from Snow I knew of ROYCE BYBEE. So I tried to talk to him as often as possible at practices. He told me several times that his playing days were over when he would leave BYU. As I remember. He like you was and still is a great guy!
Great episode! Marc was a buddy of Brent Johnson and would drop by from time to time to catch up with Brent when I worked with him. Nothing but total class.
On successive weekends I drove from Provo to Corvallis, then Ft. Collins and Then Laramie. Shooting for the Universe - have the image of Giff being assisted off the field at OSU. Shot the game with 7TD and run for 8th. he was in shock how smooth it went. Then came back to reality with 5 picks at WYO. Magical sequence to have photographed. PS - watch for thrown longnecks in Laramie, it hurt for weeks. :) Nice guy, chatted with him several times and gave some scrapbook prints to his wife. My favorite BYU QB actually.

How is it that Mike's one-hour-plus interviews seem to last twenty minutes?
