Hey! Thank you! The social life is quite decent there, with quite a few pubs and bars that we went to every week. I don't go out a lot myself so I'm not sure if I can tell you. It's definitely more quiet than in London though haha.
I am a Qingdao ren currently Living in US, I have lived in London too, but it is just no comparison with Qingdao, it is a fantastic place to live, to enjoy your life and have fun. I don't need to mention the food, absolutely fabulous. Highly recommend you to come.😀

Aka Danny the quality of air was good whereas water pollution was more serious when I left my hometown. For now, u know, the quality is fked up as the others cities of northern China.
zhang zhang but i think the air is getting worse and worse now,also the water !a lot of cancer explode in China, and after few years, the number will be huge! and the most important thing is they dont have enough money to treat it! its like suicide!! if u dont believe that, we will see it !

Jota Pe high pollution air and water, u d better buy some water from supermarket for drink, trust me, i lived there for 17years, be careful the people there, they are good at cheating people, especially for foreigner!

Lived there for 4 years, an absolutely lovely place! If you are interested in meeting foreigners and having a good time, check out the following places : The Loft, Mint Club, Pepper ;). Enjoy your time there, a wonderful place! Also a tip : People in QD adore Russia and Russians, if you manage to chat with the taxi driver and mention you are Russian (they cannot tell the difference), you can end up getting a "friend" discount or even a free ride ;)

@Tomato Egg Both two cities r beautiful. But , I would support HangZhou. HangZhou has more history, traditional culture, the capital of Dynasty Southern Song. And the GDP HangZhou is much more than QingDao. The life qulity and the environment HangZhou is nicer than QingDao.HangZhou is the one of the top leaders of 2nd tier cities(which called new 1st tier cities).
