I’ve had comments that have been deleted simply because of the way I’ve worded things sometimes even if I don’t put any bad words in the comment. I’ve also noticed that sometimes it seems like if I make a comment that sounds reasonable and calm it gets deleted but if I make it sound confrontational or passive aggressive it’s aloud for some reason.
@@oOSonicexeOo This happens to me ALL the time. It's infuriating, especially with the fact that they never give you a reason why or even tell you that it's getting taken down. Conversations on here can already be frustrating just based on how people argue and lie, but having to guess at what specifically got my comment deleted is way worse. I've had to abandon multiple civil conversations because I wasn't allowed to bring up the information necessary to argue my position. That's vastly worse than any amount of rudeness or dishonesty that a person can type.

Leftists are often confrontational in nature so when your comments have a lot of emotion in them they are usually allowed by the algorithm. Certain facts and keywords are also banned by it too, so whenever you are trying to reasonably explain something, it simply gets deleted in favor of someone calling you names. Also I'm black and we demand reparations, totally not artificial to prevent censorship.

Is you have to edit your comment and if an error pops up when you try to confirm the edit it means it was probably deleted. Or you can simply refresh the comments but I’ve had times when my comment won’t show up for almost an hour sometimes. The worst part in my opinion is the fact that after your comment gets deleted. You still get notifications for the that specific comment thread sometimes even though you don’t have a reply/comment in that thread anymore.

It's not just tablets and cellphones, it's the act of handing kids broad access to any form of content without parental moderation. My own first experience was stumbling upon a homebrew port of a game in my uncle's Dreamcast collection, I was... 6 at the time. The second wasn't even a few years later with the IMVU beta. Worse, we live in the world of live service content, you can't just hand a kid ONE game and hope it will stay safe in the future. Fortnite is easily the WORST on this front, mostly because they trapped themselves in an impossible moral quagmire when it comes to self-moderating, 3rd party style guides, and micro transactions, but even some of the Fortnite original characters are a little too raunchy. Anyone remember Highwire?
TH-cam let's the parent account moderate what the child account can view. So they don't "need" to moderate the content themselves. If the parent doesn't restrict anything, it's their own fault.

The thing about TH-cam kids is that it isn't something that the creator has input on. TH-cam scans videos and assigns them to TH-cam kids automatically. This is why many adult cartoon channels edit things in specifically to avoid being picked up by the scan system. Futurama is most definitely not meant for kids, but upload a video containing Futurama and the auto detect sees "cartoon" and labels it as being for kids. I wouldn't be surprised if it is literally just the auto detect seeing Minecraft and saying "this is for kids".

There is literally porn and CP on youtube. You sometimes will literally get it recommended on your feed. My viewership on youtube is literally Minecraft, programming, tech and some random reactions. And music. But I get recommended nude dancing, nude MMD. It is easy for me to know channels that are pushed by youtube forcefully too. I never watch anything "science" related, but that "Kile Hill" guy gets pushed EVERY TIME on my feed. Even when I mark as I don't want to see it. There was one channel of a father filming his teenager daughter in sexual scenarios that got pushed to my shorts dozens of times a day, after I reported and marked the channel as not wanting to see more than one time.

Ever since the coppa TH-cam incident Minecraft TH-camrs never were the same. Before then I used to watch many of them with well made story driven content. It felt like i was following an actual film series a lot of the time. Aphmau even used to do this. Starting from roleplaying then evolving into a full blown almost animated series. As a kid it was amazing to follow. But after the coppa laws came into effect Aphmau and others were affected hard. And the shift was night and day.

Now that I think about it, I believe that this is the biggest cause of antis among those in their early twenties and younger. These people were exposed to such terrible stuff masquerading as official content related to children's entertainment at all times, so with more than just their childhood ruined, they see content directed for different audiences to be indistinguishable from these content farms. It's likely why so many have such a violent reaction to what they perceive to be intended for vulnerable audiences, especially mainstream shonen/shojo material, as it's specifically for teenagers and young adults. The intent couldn't be any more different, yet with a hammer, these traumatized "crusaders" see all content as nails waiting to be struck.
This stuff has been around for a while like at least 2-4 years in some light. I swear when advertisers find out about this stuff there’ll be a sequel to the adpocalypse. Don’t know when and if it’ll happen though knowing how long this has been going on for.

There is literally porn and CP on youtube. You sometimes will literally get it recommended on your feed. My viewership on youtube is literally Minecraft, programming, tech and some random reactions. And music.
But I get recommended nude dancing, nude MMD. It is easy for me to know channels that are pushed by youtube forcefully too. I never watch anything "science" related, but that "Kile Hill" guy gets pushed EVERY TIME on my feed. Even when I mark as I don't want to see it. There was one channel of a father filming his teenager daughter in sexual scenarios that got pushed to my shorts dozens of times a day, after I reported and marked the channel as not wanting to see more than one time.
@lucasljs1545 My viewership is also tech and programming, but I also watch some anime, news, and science channels, including Kyle Hill, but strangely, I don't receive any of his community posts on my feed. All I get are brainrot memes and random stuff related to something I searched recently.

It's your job to get off your ass and look at what your child is consuming online: a corporation will never do that FOR you. Gonna be honest im a bit sad that Alana doesn't want to watch The amazing digital circus just because it's popular. It's honestly a really good show and episode 3 was pure peak with some really Heart touching moment's. @@STGMORRISON The company was involved in multiple predatory loan apps, the browser itself is just Chromium with a fresh coat of paint, and they've been just chasing trends (and quietly abandoning failing projects) for the past few years.
They launched a VTuber, the debut of which reached 75k, which sounds imprssive, until you learn they embedded the stream directly into the browser, so anyone on the GX Corner automatically counted as a viewer. And there's the whole Eric André screaming every time you opened the browser for april fools that one time (you couldn't opt-out of it either), which when they received complaints, they just dismissed them if they even responded at all.
Apparently the parent company is Chinese, which while not enough information to prove beyond any doubt its products are spyware, still warrants caution, especially in light of the above points.

i thought TH-cam kids was supposed to be totally separated from TH-cam 100% and every video manually reviewed by a human moderator before even being visible... no wonder they are getting away with it, they rely on normal TH-cam and it's moderation! (meaning none at all. i reported ToS breaking things with detailed explanations and still up 1 year later.)
TH-cam cares about removing harmful "children's" content like Twitch cares about upholding its TOS equally amongst human and virtual streamers.

Ever since the coppa TH-cam incident Minecraft TH-camrs never were the same. Before then I used to watch many of them with well made story driven content. It felt like i was following an actual film series a lot of the time. Aphmau even used to do this. Starting from roleplaying then evolving into a full blown almost animated series. As a kid it was amazing to follow. But after the coppa laws came into effect Aphmau and others were affected hard. And the shift was night and day.

Now that I think about it, I believe that this is the biggest cause of antis among those in their early twenties and younger. These people were exposed to such terrible stuff masquerading as official content related to children's entertainment at all times, so with more than just their childhood ruined, they see content directed for different audiences to be indistinguishable from these content farms. It's likely why so many have such a violent reaction to what they perceive to be intended for vulnerable audiences, especially mainstream shonen/shojo material, as it's specifically for teenagers and young adults. The intent couldn't be any more different, yet with a hammer, these traumatized "crusaders" see all content as nails waiting to be struck.

I’m gonna be real, I love Aphmau’s videos. I’m a subscriber and I watch her both by myself and with my 3 year old nephew because of how wholesome she is. I know she embraces cringe, but it gives her channel a sort of charm. Aphmau’s comment does suffer from bots with inappropriate profile pics, though. But that’s not her fault. I love Aphmau and will continue to support her channel.

I love Digital Circus as a fan of indie animations in general and I especially love the new third episode because it really isn't family friendly at all. I honestly can't wait for the series to turn into psychological horror by the end because yeah it totally can given what's already happening in the show
