Hi Walter, There is an option to set AP height when you are doing a predictive survey because the software needs to know where the AP is mounted to predict the coverage. But this video is about a post implementation survey, as the implementation is already done and we are checking the coverage of the installed APs the AP height is not needed, software report the coverage based on what it can hear through the dongle.
Indeed i believe there's a missing step right prior deifining the coverage perimeter which is to draw all walls and elements, otherwise to the software it's all an empty space

The licence is tied to the dongle mac address, therefore you need the adaptor to start the program. You can assign the licence to laptop's built in adaptor and then you don't need the Ekahau dongle to start the program. about wifi measurements may be using Ekahau's own adaptor is better I think.

How the software will recognize that there is a wall? because the walls aren't defined in the process of calculation.
