The camera is honestly the craziest thing ever invented. I can’t wrap my head around how you can capture a moment in your life with the touch of a button. Even after this video. Like… how? Who thought of it? How did they figure it out? I understand the light aspect, but how tf does a piece of technology capture an image? It’s just crazy to me. It truly is the greatest thing humanity has ever created.

Understand it like this, the way painting works, we simply see and draw which is the most rudimentary way of capturing life moment
Camera is doing the same but without painter, just by letting the lights draw (leave impact on film)

Capturing color is pretty complicated, but the simple explanation is that each 'megapixel' is actually several and detect the different wavelengths of color that fall on their small part of the picture. When mixed together they show a "single" color. If you would like I could make a more technical video about this?

I've seen and watched many tutorials on photography in the last few years, but, without any doubt, this is one of the simplest and best tutorials on how a camera works. I'm also amazed at how detailed the final drawing was doing it live and that it shows a very good representation how digital photos are taken. Thank you for taking the time and demonstrating your talent to simplify such a complex subject.

You are a gifted and extremely insightive instructor...WOW I'm both blown away and appreciative of your style of teaching. I've spent a 1 1/2 yrs, taking expensive $$$ classes to really understand my camera. Being dyslexic is though enough to understand an instructor, let alone the complexity of it all, when getting the basics down. I really admire both the how everything works together, to the why, the outcome/or result, from the very beginning to completion of the basic operations of camera (both past & present day sensors.
This is my first time watching your content...I appreciate the extra time, and effort and special ways you deliver and have a passionate way of teaching. Yes, your calming voice is fantastic, but it takes on a special 😊 character that is understood by all... Thank you, looking forward to more content.

This is the best video I have ever seen on how cameras work!!! I also love the low key teaching style!
