Sometimes I just wear the prussian coat. It is one of the worst items in the game, but combined with the sick eagle belt, it makes an incredible outfit. Doesn't make any sense, but playing the game the hardest way you can manage to while beign able to use all of the mechanics is one of my favorite weirdest nonsense things to do, because most importantly, it is sick af. This is why I love worst gear runs, except I created my own run type: best-looking worst gear runs (bonus for the Napoelonic outfits, they are also wonderful.)
It's very rare to stumble upon somebody that's so passionate about a game, specially when said game went out years ago and got shittalked all over the place and wrongly so... ! Keep it up dude!
Thanks a ton, Zork. ^_^ I'll definitely keep it up, I've got a funny, meme-y but still educational Unity vid coming later today if all goes well. Should be decent.
I use: Arno's Master Hood Arno's Master Coat Arno's Master Belt Legendary Military Bracers Legendary Military Breeches Eagle of Suger Gold-Plated Pistol
So glad people still make content for this game. It's such a hidden gem. I hope Ubisoft takes notice and remasters this game to fix the awkward ass controls and gets rid of the ugly coats that don't have the long tails on them, replacing them with cooler looking stuff since they usually have the best stats.
Morse Code Stutters i gotta say, there are still a lot of people like me who play Unity almost daily, it's the only game that offers the best stealth multiplayer around even after all these years
Arno’s base robes look really good in my opinion. I usually rock his entire tailored clothes with the exception of the belt, hood, and boots when I just wanna look cool. But Arno’s master assassin outfit..... hot damn it’s badass!
How cool that I tend to use a lot of the same gear as the master of this game! All great tips Leo. Totally agree about not using short coats on our assassins. I too much prefer the long coats. I want my assassin to look like a badass assassin too.
@@LeoKRogue personally I love the more pointy ones than the full on coat. It doesn't make the cape flatter around ridiculously while running, also it looks way cleaner
Very well made video, as are your other ones. Would love a short explanation as to why Franciade is your favorite place on the game though, that part made me very intrigued
I bought the game a couple of days ago since it was on sale, and I've watched all of your videos, you are awesome man! also, I'll suscribe to you channel, cool content
On base consoles Unity suffers from a greater frequency of dropped inputs, stutter, crashing, and core gameplay related bugs across the entire experience. This game was the reason I built a PC after 23 years of being a console gamer. I didn't believe a friend of mine who kept telling me "dude Unity is good on PC, you'll like it more" until I actually got sick of suffering on my base PS4 and went for it. She was telling the truth xD
I want you to know Leo! You’re the one who really helped my love for Unity grow! Now I play it all the time lol. Your tips and tricks have been life savers. Thanks to you I run “It belongs in a Museum” solo all the time and 98% of the time I get full reward! I’m so glad to see you still make videos ❤️. I haven’t seen any thing from you in a while.
That's awesome, I'm so glad. ^_^ I don't make that much Unity content these days since I've already provided _so much_ to that game and its community for so long, but it's never far from my mind.
@@LeoKRogue Oh I get it man! And you have! Even still I support you! This platform needs more kind, thoughtful, and helpful creators. Glad to see you’re still going strong! When I have the extra money I’ll make sure to support in Patreon!
EXACTLY what I've been looking for. A gear mix beetween good-looking but still overall solid. I bought the game yesterday and got hardstuck in sequence 5, whatever I used didn't seem to work. I could not thank you enough.
I'm so glad! ^__^ If you're still having trouble, you can click through my No Upgrades / No Leveling walkthrough Commentary. Since I finish every Main Memory on the weakest possible Arno, it is guaranteed that a player will have better gear and weapons than me, so it should be helpful to anyone. th-cam.com/video/9b1pV3K8ooY/w-d-xo.html
I thought I was half way through the game when I was close to choosing a better set up other than, practically, the worst sets you get early on. Then the game ended and realized I had played through the whole game with almost the base items. Kinda annoyed me in more ways then one. Granted I have a bunch of side quests I could play but the single player story is really short to me. I really felt like I had only gone like half way through the game before the ending happened. The first AC games seemed WAY longer than this one. Disappointing but then again I did get the game for free just a week ago or so from the giveaway. Some of the glitches I came across that caused me to have to restart the level were quite annoying at times though. Like one where Arno got stuck in one spot (ON THE GROUND) and couldn't jump, or run out of the one spot that had nothing else around blocking me. Gonna have to invest in some of the new gear and play some of the side missions I guess.
Game is still weird as heck after years and years, so I hear ya. Unity is happily very replayable. Revisit earlier memories from your Progress Tracker, especially Assassinations and try them with your new equipment. Other than that, one of my favorite things to do in this game is a No Upgrades run where gear doesn't even factor in xD If you have the time, take a look at my 2019 No Upgrades run for Unity at some point.
I always went full legendary prowler gear because I thought it was a good combination if stealth and combat. Now I want to reinstall Unity and try this out lol
I saw your video on recommendation and I love the tips for the gear. When I played ac unity, I completed the entire game with the default gear and only when I ran into your video did I start playing the game more stealthy and focusing on gear and stealth
happy you made these. i wish they had this gameplay and customization in the newer ones. unity i feel really was a good design. i still play it everyday. unity is my fave in terms of gameplay and customization. i love how builds are centered around assassins only. i love doing team missions by myself completely. i use a sans culotte aswell its my favorite for stealth pretty much all i use. i like rushy kills, smoke, and phantom blades. i love the disguise mechanic. reminds me of hitman, very assassin-like.
Glad to hear from you Steel Trap. Unity was definitely a special game, and I don't think there's any other like it in the entire franchise, except for maybe Assassin's Creed 1, which is still my own favorite game ever made. I enjoy every Assassin's Creed game to varying extents, but I find myself wishing that the general public gets bored of this new style of AC game so that the franchise can have another shot at feeling unique and powerful again, setting its own trends rather than copying or trying to play catch-up with the rest of the industry. We'll see how things go.
My setup: The whole Sans Culottes set, except for the Legendary Military Bracers Eagle of Suger and Gold Plated Pistol And finally the Thomas outfit, cuz style matters
@@LeoKRogue I actually changed out the Sans Culottes coat for a Legendary Brigand Coat so it looks cooler. It also adds a bit of Health so that's gucci, I guess. Also, thank you. I used to think the Berserk Blades were slow and useless but your videos teached me muiltiple ways to use them effectively
I'm so glad! As you now know, I rarely use Berserk Blades for their "intended" function. I use them to wipe Detection Meters or instantly move back into Stealth, mostly. There *are* times when I'll use Berserk Blade to sow chaos in an area so I can run somewhere else, but that's usually reserved for speedrunning and certain moments where 'perfect' play isn't necessary.
@@LeoKRogue Also, watching through your ACU vids, I noticed that you stick with the Master gear a lot, even though you definitely weren't in the mid game? What's up with that? There're so many better options, is it just an appearance thing?
@@lenny8129 It's an appearance thing, that's correct. Statistics don't actually matter to me. The only reason I made this video was because I was requested by viewers to do so. I absolutely don't care about having amazing stats or anything in Assassin's Creed Unity, it's completely unnecessary. :D If you've seen my No Upgrades runs (2019 Base Game + 2019 Dead Kings), you'll know how easy it is to beat this game on relatively weak gear. ^__^
I don't like how the sans culottes chest piece looked, but I have it paired with a legendary prowler hood and now I think it looks pretty cool. This was an awesome video btw !
Definitely very well thought-out. The developers and costume designers put so much thought and detail into Arno's gear in this game, it's kind of incredible. It's all something an Assassin would reasonably wear, and it all has a logical 'evolution' as it Tiers Up. I don't think any other Assassin's Creed game has put this much attention to detail into the clothing and armor of the player-character.
@@LeoKRogue absolutely. I’ll be honest, customization is a nightmare for me as I’m constantly trying to look cool and have reasonable stats. But I’m to the point now where I’ll have the game be a little more challenging I can look cooler. I’m torn between the tailored coat and the master coat. Tailored, I feel, blends in more with the overall feel of France’s citizens-much more “hidden in plain sight.” But on the flip side, if I’m gonna be a master assassin, I want to show it off with a master coat. I think that’s incredible that the game gives you an option for both feelings-personal preference and role-playing-and both options still feel “Assassin-y”
Just picked up unity bc it was on sale amd I've wanred to play it sice I was released and you're with out any doubt the best AC unity yourber out there man!!
I love the legendary Phantom coat, it looks especially Wicked in dark purple. Also this game is extremely playable now on PS4 Pro, with boost mode engaged. The nice thing about the console versions is the graphical setting quality is high to Ultra, it is the 900p limit and 30 frames per second. But when that frame rate is kept steady it looks very good
Arno's Master Hood - Looks Arno's Master Coat - Looks Legendary Brigand Bracers - 5 extra Phantom/Berserk blades are enough, also looks. Legendary Brigand Belt - Has a good stock of bombs and has big Assassin insignia on the front. Legendary Military Boots - Good stealth set without looking like the Sans-Culottes trousers.
Just started playing ACU last Monday and gotta say this quickly becomes on of my favorites. Good guides you do, on all ACU content. Outfit wise I go with the look and color not stats, need to look cool definitely.
@@LeoKRogue Quick question, rather two. Can I get Altair outfit for ACII from Uplay, since it has been replaced with Uclub nothing loads. Arno's outfit for Shay for last gen. Thnx
It wasn't until my third playthroygh that I finally figured out how to play this game: gadgets, _gadgets_ make all the difference. So now I just play with all the Arno's set pieces as I unlock them because they look cool.
You're very welcome! ^__^ To be honest, what you wear is less important than how you play, but it *does* help. If you're crazy enough, finishing the game on starting gear with no upgrades and no leveling is super doable: th-cam.com/video/9b1pV3K8ooY/w-d-xo.html
2:19 OMG!!!!!! DUDE YOU JUST SPOKE MY MIND! I HATE having chest pieces that look like a shirt, LONG COATS ALL THE WAY! One of my other must-have is the extra bit of cloth on either side of the hood (Like the handmade Napoleon hood.). I'm done with Single player missons and will now focus on finding all the chests, cockades, etc. And play coop with my friend. Head = Improved Nepoleonic hood (It is the 2nd best looking one to me and my style.) CHEST = Legendary Phantom Coat (I came to same conclusion, even before I saw you're video lol) FOREARM = Currently have Legendary Musketeer bracers equiped, will swtich to your suggestion after I get enough money to buy the Legenday Military bracers. WAIST = Legendary Phantom belt (Visually the most pleasing and it provides good amaount of lockpicks, as I'm about to go on a chest opening spree to 100% the game.) LEGS = Currently have the Legendary Phantom Breeches quiped because I got it for free from some mission, but will switch to legendary Musketeer breeches after I get enough money for that ridicculas modifier stats. You input on this will greatly be appreciated. THANKS A LOT FOR MAKING SUCH GOOD CONTENT!
Great vid! I wonder if there is an easy way to change models to you can keep the stats of an armor while rendering another. For the Chest slot, isn't the Legendary Brigand Coat a better upgrade instead of the Arno's Master Coat, visually and stats? (Atleast, aslong you don't have access to the Sans-Culottes and/or Phantom, which are expensive to get before the final mission.)
Thanks, great video with smart thoughts! I farmed "It belongs in a museum" yesterday and got myself the legendary belt and bracers you suggested. They really improve my playstyle, even if they aren't the most aesthetically pleasing. Speaking of aesthetics, I also bought the legendary Phantom coat, since it has great stats and has a "robe-look". After playing for awhile I realised I can't stand it though, - the front looks ridiculous (even in pure shadow) and the robe feels too heavy and loose fit for my taste. That glove is also way too big. I will probably use Master Bourgeois or Arno's Master Coat instead, until I get the Altair outfit and can use Sans-culottes. I also use the legendary Prowler set in Pure Shadow on some night missions and in Franciade, but overall feel like the leather feels too heavy for Arno. I like the customisation in Unity, but also find it annoying having to sacrifice looks for stats. I know they solved this in later AC Games though....
Thanks! And yeah, 100% agree. That's why I've taken to sticking with Arno's Master Coat exclusively. The Coat is what we as players see 99% of the time, especially from behind, so picking one that pleases you is SUPER important. Everything else can be largely utilitarian.
@@LeoKRogue One new favourite I tried today is Master Brigand chest, Legendary Sans-Culottes head and Breeches of Franciade. Looks amazing! (in pure shadow ofc)
Never played this ac but I got a ps5 now and started playing it and sure it’s has it’s problems and stuff but every game does. I love the game and your videos are really nice
This is a lot of people's favorite AC. Most don't like the story, I've heard - and the game can still be frustrating but I'm basically used to it by now.
@@LeoKRogue Funny enough, the story one of my favorites in the assassin creed franchise. mostly because of the Romeo and Juliet type-esque romance and because elise is super hot. to no surprise i dislike the ending. apart from the fact that Arno becomes a master assassin and grows as a character iirc.
This was really helpful man. Can you make a video on basic tips and tricks for new comers? Like parkour tips in unity And little details lime npc turning their heads u can walk by (hitman series) Etc
i personally quite like the sans-culottes sets because it really immerses me into the game and mindset of an assassin ive always thought the flowing robes would always stand out in a crowd and be somewhat impractical for parkour with a tighter and arguably more citizen-like appearance from the sans-culottes gear, i feel more optimal and like an assassin blending in with his surroundings/environment of course, in this time period maybe it doesn't apply that well as lots of people have long coats but i still appreciate the variety provided by ubisoft in the customization system unity really is one of my favorite ACs but also single-player games, because its extensive customization with gear and how it actually SHOWS on your character is something ive always dreamed of in games anyways, i really appreciate you supporting unity all this time, please keep it up!
To each their own. I'm just too in love with the established 'silhouette' of a Brotherhood Assassin. ^__^ I quite like the ability to define your own look as well, definitely one of the game's best features. It's a smart thing of Ubisoft to keep that kind of thing returning in future titles. Valhalla's confirmed to have transmog/visual customization as well, so that's super nice. Thanks for the cool comment! :D
@@LeoKRogue oh man i didnt know it was coming back in valhalla, that's dope before i was going to skip it because it seems to follow the rpg aspect of the modern games maybe ill give it a chance this time around though, because i really enjoy character customization and maybe ill like the rpg aspect when actually playing it, who knows
I used your gear for the whole main story and the DLC, but now I use Legendary Medieval Hood with the Legendary Phantom Coat and Breeches since they upgrade the same stats of the Master gears you use (except the Phantom gear 'cause I use Disguise more than Blending in crowds). With the Pure Shadow colour it resembles the Armor of Altair from AC2, probably the best outfit in the whole franchise which I'm quite happy with. Love your vids and thank you for the tips and guides!
I've been enjoying the game a lot more the more I understand stealth, primarily use of smoke bombs😂 but man I wish it had 60 fps(I own it digitally) Leo your videos have been a massive help. also yes, looking cool is of top priority 😂
@Savesta Enjoyer I wouldn't think so I have both disc and digital versions and let me tell you the digital version is 10xs Better then the disc version, on the disc it's like constant frame drops non stop I'm lucky if I get a good 10 minutes out of an hour for it to run smooth, however since I got the digital version two days ago it runs smooth all the time, sure there might be a few frame drops here and there but it's rare but when it does happen it only lasts for about a minute or 2, 3 minutes tops so I think you made a good choice I'm on PS4 tho so it might be different for you
Do you have Altairs and thomas de carneillon master outfit? Also if we put on high tier gear with good stats then we switch to an outfit do those previous stats still remain?
Outfits are Cosmetic Only. They're just a Skin and they don't change your stats. So yup, we can wear an Outfit over any Equipment and it won't mess with our Stat Bonuses!
I gotta say, the Tailored Phantom Coat has got to be my favorite in the entire game, paired with the Improved Bourgeois Hood. Goes well with so many color palettes, especially black. The downside is, you can only unlock it through collecting artifacts from the Medieval Battlefield rift, and you can't even do that mission until you complete sequence 11. For a tailored item. What the fuck
I know, it's absolutely insane. Some of the item unlock requirements in AC Unity are completely strange and feel totally unconsidered. Tailored Phantom Coat looks incredible, however, you're right. One of my highest-rated in terms of visuals.
I personally like the legendary brigand hood as it gives you more cash when looting, I think the prowler hood does too to a lesser extent. I can't remember my full setup cause I haven't played in a while, but I know it was the prowler hood and coullets coat and a blunt heavy weapon. And I'd run around causing fights in high level areas to loot the bodies and make decent money while waiting for the cafe theatre chest to fill up.
Yeah, I think I’d enjoy another play through with a health/melee-based Arno instead of stealth/ranged. Something to do after the very short single player story has finished.
I remember that in AC Brotherhood, I didn't wear the armor of Brutus because of how atrocious it looked to me. Outfit is a huge deal in games for me (even if it's a first person game, yes I'm that much obsessed), that literally 50% of my enjoyment is based around the outfit I wear. Somebody before told me that you can choose any outfit/clothing from Unity and change its colors, is that true? I feel like I would rather sacrifice some stats of certain outfits and ramp up the challenge, instead of wearing something powerful that I don't like looking at. Weapons are different, I'm okay with weapons looking odd if they're powerful, but outfits? Hell, I wouldn't wear the one I dislike even if it gave game god mode invulnerability, I just don't care :D Edit: One person also told me that there are “costumes” in game, that I can put over regular pieces of clothing, that way changing the appearance but keeping the stats. Is that true? Can I wear Arno’s classic outfit, but in black, with all good stats kept from better clothing items, for example?
1. You can mix and match gear-pieces but changing Color changes the colors of your entire armor, not individually. 2. You can easily beat the game on No Upgrades / Weakest Clothing, like this: th-cam.com/video/9b1pV3K8ooY/w-d-xo.html 3. There are Outfits in the game which go over your equipped gear, but Arno's Default Outfit is not one of them. Once you unlock his Master Assassin skin though, that's one.
I rock the legendary prowler gear with pure shadow dye. I recently switched out the bracer and legs for the legendary sans culottes versions for the additional phantom blade and boosted stealth stats.
Just playing ac unity for the first time, my first ever ac game and I’m loving it so far. I’ll definitely use this combo but I prefer rifle over sword as I like the animation more.
Nowadays I like Rifle a lot more too. There's also something so cool about using a weapon in multiple ways like that, like you're getting the maximum value out of it, both hitting and shooting.
Thanks so much. I assumed the legendary san couletes hood was required, even though it is the worst looking piece in the entire game. I tried to deal with it, but now i know it doesn't matter a whole lot
I have watched 2-3 videos of yours before watching this one, I love what u have done with unity :D This is my favorite AC game so far, even after playing origins and Odyssey.. I instantly clicked sub When you said : I will list all gears I use and you can stop watching video. :p Thanks for your videos and guides on this game, i will watch more.
I was initially going for purely the aesthetics of my gear, but then I switched to mostly the medieval set for the most combat bonuses, and then whatever pieces allowed for the most smoke bombs and medicines. The reason I did that was because leading into late game I was starting to get aggravated by the game, so I just said fuck it, and I decided to just brute force my way through everything. After that I hardly died since I just tanked all hits, and I also spammed smoke bombs like crazy. However, the one real downside was that it was easy to trigger additional enemies when fighting one mob, so if the levels were packed, it took a bit of time to dispatch all enemies. I would often times end up with small mountains of corpses, and rivers o blood, specially so for the coop missions. The medieval set looks kinda lame though, so I always had a special outfit skin on top of it.
Yea you forgot the hell that you have to go through to get Arno's master coat. If you do that mission alone, you made a big sacrifice my friend. And congrats on the good coat.
I usually use whatever looks best in my opinion. Which are usually what makes Arno look practical. I think a "realistic" assassin outfit needs to be a bit tight and inconspicuous. Not loose and baggy like the ones used by most assassins in Assassin's Creed. -Master Military Hood -Legendary Sans-Culottes Chest -Legendary Brigand Bracers -Legendary Military Waist -Legendary Military Boots The military sets sort of justify Arno carrying his weapons.
I wish I would have played this on release to see if I feel the same about it as I do now. I just started playing this gem and it’s great and I’m playing on the unpatched version for those wondering. The parkour/combat & that old assassins creed feeling are superb in this game. Really makes me wonder why it did so bad when it first came out.
It was just very broken on a technical level on release, on consoles and PC. It made it very hard for players to enjoy and kind of soured many people's first experience with it. Very interesting and unique game though. I think what's odd is the game is actually better completely unpatched, but the day one updates made it worse and that's the version people got to play.
Legendary Military hood. Legendary Prowler coat. Legendary Medieval belt. Legendary Brigand bracers. Legendary Prowler breeches. Suger's sword and gold plated pistol. I essentially went for a mix of Altaïr and Ezio for the look. Very effective in adaptive gameplay.
Another thing to point out: You can also use the Legendary Napoleonic Hood for the head to get a 50% Eagle Vision cooldown. I can't tell if it can decrease the time to get the Eagle Vision primed and ready, but there's also an additional 10 HP, if it counts.
@@LeoKRogue I played Single Player in the entire playthrough (and I completed the entire Co-op campaign SOLO! (thank you for pointing it out last time)), so having a communal sense, even though it also affects Eagle Vision, seems pointless to me. Also, it feels like Arno's wearing a sock for a hood. XD
I recommend these Hood : Legendary Sans Culottes Chest : Legendary Sans Culottes Bracers : Legendary Military Bracers Belt: Legendary Military Belt Breeches : Legendary Sans Culottes Breeches Ik sans culottes looks are the worst but you can always use an outfit to hide your appearance while keeping the best stats Weapon : Eagle of Sugar ( same stats as Sword of Eden but has extra stun ability ) Pistol : Solid Long Gun or Gold plated pistol Enjoy
My gear: Legendary mediaval hood Legendary phantom coat Legendary military bracers Legendary napolenic belt Legendary sans-Culottes breeches Eagle of suger Gold-plated pistol. this is imo the best gear in the game and it works perfectly for stealth and combat the only problem is how it looks but i usually wear "Arno's fearless outfit" to cover it :D
I did something stupid and played dead kings dlc mid game that awards 10000+ in most missions. Now I have legendary military bracers mid game. So much Phantom Blades.
If it's not just me and anyone has ever wanted to look similar to a guard / officer, I typically use: Colors: Assassin Blue / Azure Hope Gear: Legendary Military Hood Legendary Military Coat Legendary Military Bracers Legendary Military Belt (or) Legendary Napoleonic Belt Legendary Military Breeches One Of a Few Weapons: Silver Plated Musket / Pike Hammer / Officers Bardiche / Officer's Saber / Gold-Plated Pistol ^(not the greatest) It's a quite simple loadout but I admire its look very much.
I may be a bit late but for whoever feels like being a bit of a psychopath: Berserk arrows will not only make an effected enemy aggressive and fight their peers, but if they kill their comrades they will slowly succumb to the poison. The same will happen when used against an enemy who's completely alone and can't fight any enemy close. So if you feel like killing a lone enemy in a rather horrid way, use berserk darts.
Indeed, indeed. The same will _also_ happen if you Berserk the same enemy twice in a row, even if there are others around them. That slower overdose/poison-death is also stealthier than killing with a phantom blade as enemies don't register that they're dead until they've finally hit the ground -- and that takes a while.
I use the sans-cullot bracers since the takedown noise is more quieter and sans-cullots chest for longer blend time, well I use every sans-cullot armor cause i'm used to stealth after playing for two years.
I’ve started to use the Musketeer outfit (at least for chest&legs) and I have to say I love it. It has good stats, and visually speaking it’s the perfect mix between feeling French as hell and yet still feeling like an Assassin (which is the mix I would’ve wanted from Arno’s base look in the game, honestly).
Tbh, I'm a Prowler Boi except for the belt (Medieval) and boot/grieves (Military) and I use the second highest Prowler hood because aesthetics... I don't like how the Legendary Prowler Hood covers the shoulders...
GUYS, the san cullotes set LOOKS FIRE IN ALL BLACK. I suggest to grind finding the cockades, it is absolutely worth it. san cullotes on all black is the most aestethic
I decided to give this game a chance a few months ago and I’ve been playing it very often after work. Back when I first started playing I sucked so bad because I needed gear that gave me more smoke bombs and blades. I also didn’t know about that damage thing for the hidden blades. I had no idea the “ancient history” heist could be mined for all that money. Now I use all the legendary sans-culottes gear and I place Arno’s Master Assassin costume over it. Now Unity is my favorite AC Game now. It’s ruined all the other games for me.
Congratulations! It feels _really good_ getting better at this game, doesn't it? It's a very unique sensation, you can really notice a difference between when you first started, and your current capabilities.
Leo K [Rogue] Yea now that I’ve played so much of it I wish there was an update to the game with bug fixes and gameplay tweaks. Sometimes I fall through the floor and fall endlessly in the skybox. Often times when Arno climbs on top of a small waist high wall or fence he’ll start running in place. Funniest bug is sometimes after using the phantom blade Arno’s top half will stay in the shooting pose but his legs will move around so as you move arno he stays looking in the same direction and it’s hilarious. I also think it would be useful if Arno automatically received loot from enemies after a stealth assassination like in Syndicate. Who knows maybe in the future Ubisoft will make a “remake” of this game like with Prince of Persia Sands of Time. Or maybe people will mod Unity themselves.
You are speaking my language man. I wish for all of those things to be fixed and improved. This game is unique and special but it's so horribly broken, even now.
That's cool. I hope you enjoy it, it can be a bit frustrating sometimes but I have a lot of guides and tutorial videos explaining different things if you need them. ^__^ And, while you're here, happy birthday, hopefully.
"I guess it's for those players who wanna pick level three locks when their lock picking is only level two." I pick level three locks when my lock picking is only level one. B)
Tried to get Arno's Master Coat by playing the mission by myself since I couldn't find people online to play with. I despise the French guards now. Especially the ones with pistols.

Morse Code Stutters i gotta say, there are still a lot of people like me who play Unity almost daily, it's the only game that offers the best stealth multiplayer around even after all these years
Lorenzo Vergine yeee I wish stealth multiplayer was a thing. Were you ever into AC competitive MP? That was so unique Im surprised it never caught on
I played a lot of AC PvP back in the day.
Arno’s base robes look really good in my opinion. I usually rock his entire tailored clothes with the exception of the belt, hood, and boots when I just wanna look cool.
But Arno’s master assassin outfit..... hot damn it’s badass!
Yeah, the default gear and its variants are all awesome.
You are like my only source I use for unity info and you have helped the game be so much more fun. Thanks for all your content and work!
Thank you so much! I'm so happy to hear I've helped you out.
How cool that I tend to use a lot of the same gear as the master of this game! All great tips Leo. Totally agree about not using short coats on our assassins. I too much prefer the long coats. I want my assassin to look like a badass assassin too.
Then your gear should give you no real trouble, mhm! And hey, good on you! Gotta have edgy long cloaks and coats. Can't live without 'em hehe
@@LeoKRogue personally I love the more pointy ones than the full on coat. It doesn't make the cape flatter around ridiculously while running, also it looks way cleaner

It just happens that _most_ of my viewers are very nice people.
Very well made video, as are your other ones. Would love a short explanation as to why Franciade is your favorite place on the game though, that part made me very intrigued
I'll write that down, thanks for the interest! Would be fun to talk about.
I bought the game a couple of days ago since it was on sale, and I've watched all of your videos, you are awesome man!
also, I'll suscribe to you channel, cool content
Thanks Ander, I'm happy about that. :D
I'm just trying my best haha
Cheers for this. I'm giving Unity a second chance on PC cause console was unplayable for me
A very common experience, yes.
Why you dislike console version?
On base consoles Unity suffers from a greater frequency of dropped inputs, stutter, crashing, and core gameplay related bugs across the entire experience. This game was the reason I built a PC after 23 years of being a console gamer. I didn't believe a friend of mine who kept telling me "dude Unity is good on PC, you'll like it more" until I actually got sick of suffering on my base PS4 and went for it. She was telling the truth xD
When a game is so bad in a console that brings you into the marvelous world of PC has merit as well lmao
Bruno López but the game is fine on console
I want you to know Leo! You’re the one who really helped my love for Unity grow! Now I play it all the time lol. Your tips and tricks have been life savers. Thanks to you I run “It belongs in a Museum” solo all the time and 98% of the time I get full reward! I’m so glad to see you still make videos ❤️. I haven’t seen any thing from you in a while.
That's awesome, I'm so glad. ^_^
I don't make that much Unity content these days since I've already provided _so much_ to that game and its community for so long, but it's never far from my mind.

@@LeoKRogue thanks for the help my guy

I was calling it sans cutins
I called it San cuttholes in my head, though I never said it aloud.. until now and wow that sounds SO MUCH better
Why did it take me so long to discover this awesome channel?!
You were unlucky until now! :P
I'm glad you're here.
Leo K [Rogue] same here!
Other than that, one of my favorite things to do in this game is a No Upgrades run where gear doesn't even factor in xD
If you have the time, take a look at my 2019 No Upgrades run for Unity at some point.
I always went full legendary prowler gear because I thought it was a good combination if stealth and combat. Now I want to reinstall Unity and try this out lol
Give it a shot!
I saw your video on recommendation and I love the tips for the gear. When I played ac unity, I completed the entire game with the default gear and only when I ran into your video did I start playing the game more stealthy and focusing on gear and stealth
I also have a full commentary ACU No Upgrades walk-through with default gear and no Skills, if you're curious ^_^

You're very welcome! I'm glad.
Great timing, I actually trade a game with my friend for AC Unity. Thanks a lot❤
Awesome! ^__^
Whats the point of using heavy or long weapons if they have the same damage as one handed but are often slower
I genuinely do not know. They have different Heavy/Charged attacks. That's it.
There is no point, unless you want to use a blunt weapon for no kill immersion? There's no balance to it, especially rifles because of range.
The charged attacks for long weapons trip most enemies and then you can combo it with a ground finisher. Free insta kills.
Very good point. Since Gunshots autokill grounded enemies, that's a good way to kill Defenders, Brutes and Agiles.
happy you made these. i wish they had this gameplay and customization in the newer ones. unity i feel really was a good design. i still play it everyday. unity is my fave in terms of gameplay and customization. i love how builds are centered around assassins only. i love doing team missions by myself completely. i use a sans culotte aswell its my favorite for stealth pretty much all i use. i like rushy kills, smoke, and phantom blades. i love the disguise mechanic. reminds me of hitman, very assassin-like.
My setup:
The whole Sans Culottes set, except for the Legendary Military Bracers
Eagle of Suger and Gold Plated Pistol
And finally the Thomas outfit, cuz style matters
That's a pretty badass way to go, yeah. If you want to be hyper optimized that's probably the best possible.
Decided to come back to ac unity thx for freshing up my memory
great video
Glad to help. :)
I don't like how the sans culottes chest piece looked, but I have it paired with a legendary prowler hood and now I think it looks pretty cool.
This was an awesome video btw !
Thank you! I'm glad you've found your personal Style.
I’m a big fan of the military-like progression of Arno’s Assassin gear. The knots and tassels on his Master coat, for instance
Still making use of this knowledge in 2024 :) Great video!

Nice gear-set! And I'm happy to help out your ammo capacity. :3
But when that frame rate is kept steady it looks very good
Sweet!
@@LeoKRogue you going to do a reaction to the Assassin's Creed Valhalla reveal tomorrow?
No.
Arno's Master Hood - Looks
Arno's Master Coat - Looks
Legendary Brigand Bracers - 5 extra Phantom/Berserk blades are enough, also looks.
Legendary Brigand Belt - Has a good stock of bombs and has big Assassin insignia on the front.
Legendary Military Boots - Good stealth set without looking like the Sans-Culottes trousers.
That's ittt~
Just started playing ACU last Monday and gotta say this quickly becomes on of my favorites.
Good guides you do, on all ACU content. Outfit wise I go with the look and color not stats, need to look cool definitely.

@@LeoKRogue Quick question, rather two.

Arno's outfit for Shay for last gen.

It wasn't until my third playthroygh that I finally figured out how to play this game: gadgets, _gadgets_ make all the difference. So now I just play with all the Arno's set pieces as I unlock them because they look cool.
Yes, Tools are basically _the_ stealth system in this game.
Idk why but I love the ledgendary phantom hood. It’s very elegant yet flashy.
If you love it, use it.
He really said stand are temporary drip is forever and that is something I highly respect

To be honest, what you wear is less important than how you play, but it *does* help.
Head = Improved Nepoleonic hood (It is the 2nd best looking one to me and my style.)
CHEST = Legendary Phantom Coat (I came to same conclusion, even before I saw you're video lol)
FOREARM = Currently have Legendary Musketeer bracers equiped, will swtich to your suggestion after I get enough money to buy the Legenday Military bracers.
WAIST = Legendary Phantom belt (Visually the most pleasing and it provides good amaount of lockpicks, as I'm about to go on a chest opening spree to 100% the game.)
LEGS = Currently have the Legendary Phantom Breeches quiped because I got it for free from some mission, but will switch to legendary Musketeer breeches after I get enough money for that ridicculas modifier stats.
You input on this will greatly be appreciated. THANKS A LOT FOR MAKING SUCH GOOD CONTENT!
That sounds like a decent set of gear. Provided you can feel confident playing with it, that's what matters most.
It may be, depends on what you like. As I said, feel free to change anything around to suit your tastes and preferences.
Thanks for answering :)
Nice video! I got ac unity for free because Notre dame burned and i am really enjoying it and your video helped a lot! Thanks
Thank you! Once you finish the game I encourage you to check out Treviso's Unity Content, and my 2019 Unity No Upgrades Video!
Thank you, I'm glad to help!
This is my favorite AC and I hate that people don't like it just because of the bad launch state
This is a lot of people's favorite AC.
Thank you! I'd wish more of a guide for the beginning of the game
Can you let me know what that would look like for you? What do you envision for it, what would be good topics for it to cover?
This was really helpful man. Can you make a video on basic tips and tricks for new comers?
Like parkour tips in unity
And little details lime npc turning their heads u can walk by (hitman series)
Etc
Thanks. Hmm, I have a few videos like Climbing Methods, Advanced Berserk, but you're right, it may be a good idea putting them all into a shorter one.
Sometimes il just wear whatever I like no matter the stats, sometimes looking cool is just more important
Yess
i personally quite like the sans-culottes sets because it really immerses me into the game and mindset of an assassin
ive always thought the flowing robes would always stand out in a crowd and be somewhat impractical for parkour
with a tighter and arguably more citizen-like appearance from the sans-culottes gear, i feel more optimal and like an assassin blending in with his surroundings/environment
of course, in this time period maybe it doesn't apply that well as lots of people have long coats but i still appreciate the variety provided by ubisoft in the customization system
unity really is one of my favorite ACs but also single-player games, because its extensive customization with gear and how it actually SHOWS on your character is something ive always dreamed of in games
anyways, i really appreciate you supporting unity all this time, please keep it up!
To each their own. I'm just too in love with the established 'silhouette' of a Brotherhood Assassin. ^__^
I quite like the ability to define your own look as well, definitely one of the game's best features.
It's a smart thing of Ubisoft to keep that kind of thing returning in future titles. Valhalla's confirmed to have transmog/visual customization as well, so that's super nice.
Thanks for the cool comment! :D
@@LeoKRogue oh man i didnt know it was coming back in valhalla, that's dope
before i was going to skip it because it seems to follow the rpg aspect of the modern games
maybe ill give it a chance this time around though, because i really enjoy character customization and maybe ill like the rpg aspect when actually playing it, who knows
Valhalla also has one-shot stealth kills, and blending is back.
Thank you so much! I'm glad I could help you out.
I've been enjoying the game a lot more the more I understand stealth, primarily use of smoke bombs😂 but man I wish it had 60 fps(I own it digitally) Leo your videos have been a massive help. also yes, looking cool is of top priority 😂
Thank you ^__^
@Savesta Enjoyer I wouldn't think so I have both disc and digital versions and let me tell you the digital version is 10xs Better then the disc version, on the disc it's like constant frame drops non stop I'm lucky if I get a good 10 minutes out of an hour for it to run smooth, however since I got the digital version two days ago it runs smooth all the time, sure there might be a few frame drops here and there but it's rare but when it does happen it only lasts for about a minute or 2, 3 minutes tops so I think you made a good choice I'm on PS4 tho so it might be different for you
Do you have Altairs and thomas de carneillon master outfit? Also if we put on high tier gear with good stats then we switch to an outfit do those previous stats still remain?
Outfits are Cosmetic Only. They're just a Skin and they don't change your stats. So yup, we can wear an Outfit over any Equipment and it won't mess with our Stat Bonuses!
But do you have them?
Not on my current save file, but I did. Thomas is easy but time consuming, Altair is genuinely annoying to try for.
Damn you replied quickly😁
Subbed now
I gotta say, the Tailored Phantom Coat has got to be my favorite in the entire game, paired with the Improved Bourgeois Hood.
Smart stuff!
Hell, I wouldn't wear the one I dislike even if it gave game god mode invulnerability, I just don't care :D
Edit: One person also told me that there are “costumes” in game, that I can put over regular pieces of clothing, that way changing the appearance but keeping the stats. Is that true?
Can I wear Arno’s classic outfit, but in black, with all good stats kept from better clothing items, for example?
1. You can mix and match gear-pieces but changing Color changes the colors of your entire armor, not individually.
2. You can easily beat the game on No Upgrades / Weakest Clothing, like this: th-cam.com/video/9b1pV3K8ooY/w-d-xo.html
3. There are Outfits in the game which go over your equipped gear, but Arno's Default Outfit is not one of them. Once you unlock his Master Assassin skin though, that's one.
@@LeoKRogue thanks man
I’ve always been a sucker for the Prowler gear’s appearance.
It does look very cool.
I rock the legendary prowler gear with pure shadow dye. I recently switched out the bracer and legs for the legendary sans culottes versions for the additional phantom blade and boosted stealth stats.
Hey! I found Leo again once I've come back to Unity!
Aww~ Welcome.
Just playing ac unity for the first time, my first ever ac game and I’m loving it so far. I’ll definitely use this combo but I prefer rifle over sword as I like the animation more.
Nowadays I like Rifle a lot more too. There's also something so cool about using a weapon in multiple ways like that, like you're getting the maximum value out of it, both hitting and shooting.
im here cuz youre passion is nice to see. nice videos!
Thank you Surya. ^__^
I love San Culottes because it's very inconspicuous
There's definitely some kind of appeal in that, for sure.
Thanks so much. I assumed the legendary san couletes hood was required, even though it is the worst looking piece in the entire game. I tried to deal with it, but now i know it doesn't matter a whole lot
Yeah! You get more than enough of what you need from your arms, belt and coat.
Thanks so much!
"look good feel good, feel good play good".
Yea you forgot the hell that you have to go through to get Arno's master coat. If you do that mission alone, you made a big sacrifice my friend. And congrats on the good coat.
Political Persecution is _not_ that hard lmao
Just gotta move quickly.
@@LeoKRogue I'm gonna be honest. I got the coat just by running around getting detected. then praying to god they don't follow me down the stairs
I usually use whatever looks best in my opinion. Which are usually what makes Arno look practical. I think a "realistic" assassin outfit needs to be a bit tight and inconspicuous. Not loose and baggy like the ones used by most assassins in Assassin's Creed.
-Master Military Hood
-Legendary Sans-Culottes Chest
-Legendary Brigand Bracers
-Legendary Military Waist
-Legendary Military Boots
The military sets sort of justify Arno carrying his weapons.
Yeah, I use what looks best to me too. That's the way to go since stats don't make a huge difference.
I preferred the prowler gear back when I had this game.
What made you prefer it?
@@LeoKRogue I think it was just the look.
Same
I wish I would have played this on release to see if I feel the same about it as I do now.
I don't like the medevial belt because, HOW can he roll and move with a belt that big

Another thing to point out: You can also use the Legendary Napoleonic Hood for the head to get a 50% Eagle Vision cooldown. I can't tell if it can decrease the time to get the Eagle Vision primed and ready, but there's also an additional 10 HP, if it counts.
It should, indeed. Communal Sense also affects Eagle Vision effect-duration, which is something I only learned _recently!_
XD

Legendary phantom coat
Legendary military bracers
Legendary napolenic belt
Legendary sans-Culottes breeches
Eagle of suger
Gold-plated pistol.
this is imo the best gear in the game and it works perfectly for stealth and combat the only problem is how it looks but i usually wear "Arno's fearless outfit" to cover it :D
Very nice!
I respect the Military Bracers haha
I did something stupid and played dead kings dlc mid game that awards 10000+ in most missions. Now I have legendary military bracers mid game. So much Phantom Blades.
Amazing.
Great video pal, may I ask you what colours are you using on this vid?
Thanks. Pure Shadow, unlocked by collecting 100 Cockades.
@@LeoKRogue Wow you are still repling to those comments after years... respect!! And thanks for the answer.
If it's not just me and anyone has ever wanted to look similar to a guard / officer, I typically use:
Colors: Assassin Blue / Azure Hope
Gear:
Legendary Military Hood
Legendary Military Coat
Legendary Military Bracers
Legendary Military Belt (or) Legendary Napoleonic Belt
Legendary Military Breeches
One Of a Few Weapons:
Silver Plated Musket / Pike Hammer / Officers Bardiche /
Officer's Saber / Gold-Plated Pistol
^(not the greatest)
It's a quite simple loadout but I admire its look very much.
That's really cool!
man I wish we had arno's first assassin outfit as layerd armor... absolutely love the look of it -.-
God, same.

I used to be one of those people and damn was I actually pretty good at it. Level 3 locks picked with level 1 skill.
:D
@@LeoKRogue Oh wow, didn't know that part. Thanks alot!
still relevant, thx
I'm glad.
I use the sans-cullot bracers since the takedown noise is more quieter and sans-cullots chest for longer blend time, well I use every sans-cullot armor cause i'm used to stealth after playing for two years.
Nice. :)
That's pretty well thought-out. ^_^
Leo K [Rogue] I’m an Alexandre Dumas lover, so I took the looks matter in this game quite seriously😂
I also recommend getting the 100 Cockades. Pure Shadow is a beautiful color.
Not gonna lie, even though your armour is built for the stats, your guy still looks sick.
Thank you! ^__^
The only stats I really need are Tool Amount. Everything else is optional so I wear what I think looks cool.
Leo K [Rogue] I’m planning on getting the game for my birthday on Friday.
That's cool. I hope you enjoy it, it can be a bit frustrating sometimes but I have a lot of guides and tutorial videos explaining different things if you need them. ^__^
And, while you're here, happy birthday, hopefully.
Leo K [Rogue] Thanks, I’m actually watching you’re rogue academy videos right now
Oh cool ^__^ Hope you find them helpful.
I wear Arno's Tailored Outfit... I always like the outfits the dev have created.
Nice. I really love that one too.
I used the legendary prowler coat and it has the meter as the arno’s master coat and I like the leather looking style it has.
Hell yeah, style matters most for sure.
"I guess it's for those players who wanna pick level three locks when their lock picking is only level two."
I pick level three locks when my lock picking is only level one. B)
A god walks among me haha
@@LeoKRogue trust me there's always half a chance i nail it and half a chance i break it.
Tried to get Arno's Master Coat by playing the mission by myself since I couldn't find people online to play with.
I despise the French guards now. Especially the ones with pistols.
That is a totally reasonable reaction to have to the guards in this game. :P
This video: Solid points on end-game, practicality and utility.
Me: Finish entire game with only Arno tailored, and Officer's sabre
