@@dien_aka_kim for what it’s worth, I think it’s still beneficial to use a shield in solo legendaries, especially if you don’t scope in. Shield peeking isn’t as powerful as it used to be, but I found myself almost completely unaffected by the changes. I use a Elmo’s striker with chest and backpack + Coyote’s, and I managed to get my fastest completion time two weeks ago. Shield peeking is still kind of a thing
I tried shield peeking again, and with the kind of peeking I still do by using tall cover it actually makes it harder. But then again it's really down to preference yeah.
This is legendary. I finally found a video of someone doing legendary with no shield. I’m using the Saint Elmo engine with rate of fire dps striker and 6 tier striker what are the best skills to use?
1. There are multiple videos of other content creators also doing no shield as well, highly recommend that you check them out too. 2. You really don't get much mileage out of running skill tier on striker, as you lose too much damage. I use sticky EMP and decoy since they bring enough utility for me at tier 0 to keep me alive and disrupt electronics.
After some testing that didn't end up being any videos because I deem them more trouble than they're worth, I concluded that LMGs dealing too much suppression is too big of a downside.

I actually don't do DZ haha, but I do learn from my friends who do DZ. That radar position is very handy to see nearby threats. The peeking style I do use is also used a lot in DZ too.

Impressive…no shield 💪🏾👍🏾💯 I’ve NEVER seen anyone without a shield for legendary.
There have been a few clears with no shield on TH-cam so far. Check them out, they're very impressive.

It is very fast for a solo run with a striker set. I play almost exclusively with a shield myself, but I'd be tempted to try it without... :-)
If you are more comfortable using a shield then it's still a clear :) don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I was curious, did you ever get to compare any LMGs to Elmo/FAMAS? It does seem like you have mostly settled on the Elmo.
