@@jer7255 the high output version is really supposed to be for quiet sources (finger picked acoustic guitar, very quiet vocals etc.) If you had someone belting out on that mic, theres a good chance you're going to clip your input stage even at the lowest gain setting. The "regular" is more versatile in that you could throw it in front of a loud singer or drum set or brass instrument and not have issues. Roswell recommends the standard version for most applications.
For 3 days now the happy owner of the miniK-87 - this is a top/top microphone. I have only tried on vocals but it sounds "big times". Normally I use a AKG Solidtube for vox and it is super as well. Two super sounding microphones each with its own magic to choose from. I´m rolling :)
Great video. We've been rockin the mini K47's on our piano for a while now (did a review on it a couple months ago). I was 50/50 on getting the mini K87 and their Mic Parts S87. Same capsule different circuit (wound up going w the S87) but now kinda thinkin, damn... lol Gonna have to put a pair of these on the studio budget list for this year.

ummm... Where's the face palm emoji?!!! There's some T-bone mics that do okay but not the really, really cheap ones... And even the ones that don't suck have some pretty poor components and really don't shine and fully come into their own until they're modded... Some are fairly popular in the modding community. But clearly....CLEARLY....,you haven't used a good microphone yet!!!

Yeah... Good mic, but their K67x mini with the transformer is even better... For very little more $. It sounds very expensive!
I bought the Lauten but I’m gonna sell it now not even worth the price anymore compared to the k87
