idk how to get a card to the top of the deck. but im not here for the magic, more the entertainment and helpful advice in hiding things actively. been helpful for my show, palming and things like that for security stuff etc

psst... I'm watching ScamNation and I have no idea how to get a card to the top.
Not that I need to know as I have no hand dexterity when it comes to cards and would never be successful with it.
psst... check out the first link in the description. Brian teaches a pretty easy card control within that trick to do just that, and it doesn’t require too much dexterity, just some practice.
I have some of the most sausagey fingers in the universe ... not like nice little breakfast sausages but like big fuck’n bratwursts you know ? And I can get a card to the top of the deck with out any one knowing.
I would suggest looking up a tutorial on the double undercut. A good place to start.
The moves are not the important part , it’s the story you tell with the trick.

When you have seen to many of these and figured out 90% of the trick before the trick even happened.
1st. Choose card 2nd. Pull card from middle when no one is paying attention (half cut here) 3rd. Wrap card separately in cloth. 4th preform. Going to go watch the video now.

@@TheMagicMinute Jeeze, I honestly don't know the effects actual name, or where I learned it (possibly Bobo). But the process is exactly the same, same folds and everything, the last bit is different though, you slide a ring over the kerchief, showing that the coin cannot come back out of the kerchief. then, giving it a good shake, both coin and ring fall free.
Now I need to grab Bobo, and see if I cannot find the effect in there.
@@JakHart Coin through Handkerchief? Starts on page 171. There's also a method with a gimmicked coin and a card with a triangle cut out of the center later in the book.

idk why but i REALY dont like this trick the whole 'cloth goes on top and then for some reason you pull out the cards from under there to place them ontop' feels so un elegant and clunky, i love sleight of hand tricks because usualy they are realy elegant and unless you know magic/sleight of hand you wont know/notice anything fishy with the trick but in this case its like pretty obvious, this is not me hating on the guy who showed the trick or anything like that btw just wanted to explain why i dont like the trick, also the reason why i looked obvious and clunky might be the camera angle etc that ofc always plays a part in magic where it looks natural from the audience but weird from the camera perspective
You can adjust it to avoid "weird" parts. For example, after forcing card on top, you could palm it and hand over rest of dec to another person to reach for napkin and cover palmed card with it. That way you wouldn't need to grab anything from under it and the audience would also have agency (especially when you tell them to observe the deck).
