    Why doesn't she cover the florist foam at the back?. I was taught that you always cover it, even if the arrangement is only viewed from the front.

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's an excellent question, Pete! Yes, all of the foam should be covered so that none of the mechanics show. Thank you so much for your feedback and for watching our show. We hope we'll see you again soon when you have some free time. Wishing you the very best and please have a lovely weekend!

      Thank you for your feedback, Jennifer! We watched the show again, and as she was designing the first arrangement, Teacher Marisa mentioned that she was using gladiolas, equisetum, kangaroo paws, variegated fatsia leaves, and solidaster. In the second design, she mentioned that her materials were Bells of Ireland, dark ti leaves, woolly bush, calcynia, Roseberry roses, carnations, purple agonis, and hanging amaranthus. In the third arrangement, she mentioned that she was using flat cane wrapped in bullion wire for the armature, delphinium, and Gerbera daisies. We hope this information helps you. Wishing you all the best and Happy Valentine's Day to you!

    What were the names of the type of lines that you created? I kept waiting for the reveal and if you identified them I missed it. I would like both teachers to be miked as I the interaction between the two of you but the person not on camera was difficult for me to hear. Loved this and I don’t want to miss a word.

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's an excellent suggestion, E S! We are working on bringing in new equipment to our studio and that is something we could add to our list. In terms of the line if you are referring to the design with Bells of Ireland, the form is a crescent because of the curve in the line, and the line Teacher Marisa was asking about is known as psychic line meaning an imaginary line from tip to tip on the Bells of Ireland. The other line is called implied line. We hope this helps and we appreciate the interesting and thoughtful questions you are posing. Thank you very much for watching our show and we look forward to seeing you again very soon!

    • @FlowerSchool
      @FlowerSchool  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's an excellent question, Julia! Teacher Marisa is an expert at designing tall pieces and she always does a good job of using containers that are weighted or heavy enough to hold the design in a secure and stable way. We are so glad you could join us for Flower School Live, and we hope you enjoyed the show. Thank you for being with us and we hope to see you again very soon. Best wishes and have a wonderful week!
