    I live in south Riverview as well and I’ve been here a couple years now. I have to agree, the growth in the community is great and all the new businesses has been a welcomed plus!

    I lived in the Tampa Bay area all through the 1990s. At that time I lived in the West Chase area before it was even called West Chase. I worked in Clearwater and my commute was about 35 minutes during traffic which I thought was awful. I then moved to the Boston area where I’ve lived since 1999. In Boston the average commute time is a solid hour and lots of people take an hour and 30 minutes to get to work so traffic is as bad as California. I have family in Tampa who still live in the West Chase area and my Mom is in Palm Harbor. Anyway, my hubby and I are going to relocate back to Tampa Bay this fall but since it’s been almost 20 years since lived there so much has changed. My family in Tampa considers 30 minutes a long commute but that would be nothing compared to what I’m used to in Boston. Anyway, my husband has a job opportunity in Bradenton and I have one in the USF area and another in downtown Tampa so we were considering Riverview as a good option for us. When you say traffic is bad in Riverview what would that actually mean in time (30 mins? 45 mins?) to major job centers in the technology arena in Tampa Bay?

      HI Jackie, I am in South Riverview, right by exit 246 on I-75. Right now at 4:25 p.m my gmaps is saying USF is a 38 minute drive door to door. This isn't in rush hour however and it's showing minor traffic delays. USF is further away than downtown Tampa from here however. So it really depends on what time you are leaving. I will say that for the next couple of years exit 246 is a pretty bad bottleneck at certain times of the day. It's not the easiest to get on to I-75 until they expand the exit which isn't planned until 2021. If you are in North Riverview by the Expressway then you will have a much better commute to anywhere in Tampa.
      Bradenton is gorgeous and i'm sure you'll love it there, very easy to get to from here headed South. Home prices are more expensive there however. I know you have a good understanding of the Tampa area, but let me know if and when you're in the area and I will show you around. Especially Riverview as it's pretty big and there's a lot to cover. I bet Riverview was hardly even a town back in '99 : )

      @@burgessteam thanks so much for the information! Although I'm very familiar with Tampa it's been a very long since I've had to commute in the area and things have changed so much. I lived there when West Chase was just a cow pasture. I live in Country Way (which people now call part of West Chase but back then West Chase hadn't even been developed yet and we literally had cow pastures within sight of our home). We bought that house in 1990 so the whole area is nothing like it is today. Back then I knew about Riverview and Brandon but no one lived out that way and the few people that were out that way lived on big plots of land as there weren't any malls or planned communities. I think they were just starting to build some master developments in Brandon at that time. Every time I return to Tampa to visit my family I'm amazed at how much things have changed. My hubby and I are planning for retirement which isn't for 12 years but whatever area we decide to live in we plan to make our retirement home so we are looking for a combination of a neighborhood that would be good for commuting right now but also someplace we can retire to. Thank you for offering to show us around. I will definitely keep you in mind and will probably take you up on that offer. We will be putting our home on the market next month in Boston so we are hoping for a move back to Tampa this fall. We were thinking of getting a short term rental while we search for our home due to timing of the move.

      @burgessteam  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem, Jackie. I have a few areas and neighborhoods in mind that are more for semi retirees that will be good options for you. Just depends on what you're looking for in the home itself and budget really. Feel free to reach out to me at any time. 813-295-0144 / david@yourburgessteam.com. Best of luck with your house sale up in Boston too.

    Any Chance you can go to the Pulte Community in Riverview from the 220K's. I'd like to see it. I'll be relocating next year.

      Hi Lee, where in the UK are you from? It's every 90 days unfortunately. When I first met my now wife, that was my max time allowed here. Then I was back to Bournemouth where i'm from for another 90 days before being allowed back. Fortunately all those fun and games are behind me now.

    Hi! We are relocating and are seriously considering Dunedin...however, my brother keeps telling us to check out Riverview and Brandon due to their close proximity to 75.
    Can you help us?

    • @burgessteam
      @burgessteam  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Michelle, I believe we've already connected haven't we? Riverview & Brandon to Dunedin are very different areas. You will get better bang for your buck in Riverview & Brandon, and it's a lot closer to Tampa. Dunedin is a lovely town, and it's very close to some great beaches. Homes will typically be a lot older there too.

      @@burgessteam I'm not sure of any to be honest. I'm thinking it would probably have to be an upcoming community since I will not be moving until this time next year. I just want to know some areas I should be keeping my eyes on.

    I hate the development, population and the traffic. Riverview used to be a country paradise. Now over populated, over crowded and section 8..
