Then the Filipino folksongs compositions fits well to the four vocal types and ranges of Soprano, Alto, Tenor and Bass made by our brilliant compositors. Several years already Filipinos winning competition abroad of the melodious well blended music. From there many foreign countries are singing it too even foreign universities competitions. i don't know what different countries love about old filipino folk songs, but it's been used since decades ago till now from school choirs to pro competitions around the world. i guess it's fun to arrange, easier to pronounce and memorize, so cool to listen to especially from choirs. leron leron sinta is just one of the popular choir piece others are, bahay kubo, coconut nut, 'paru-parung bukid' and a top favorite of many countries is the 'rosas pandan'. and a lot of talented choirs and schools around the globe have been nailing it with these songs.

Filipino folk songs come in different forms; telling stories .. daily chores in the barrios( the smallest political unit in the Philippines) like in the farms .. planting and harvest, it can also be courtship/ marriage. Others tell stories of heroism or bravery .. Whatever the language being used in the song by the performers, it is indeed the expression of feelings ... It is a gesture of recognition of international unity . Thank you for sharing the video and making a positive reaction. You are great for making your channel the medium of spreading good songs from any country .. God bless you !

The singing is "so angelic" really raises goosepimples!...
But singing the traditional Pilipino music has an "ancient spell",....
Whoever sings these songs with the Pilipino sentimental rendetion and understood its lyrics will carry part of its musical soul in their hearts thereafter....

Maybe because this songs are well arranged by Filipino composers, and sang by Filipino Madrigal singers, who was the first country to win Grand Prix twice, in Europe. The most difficult choir competition in Europe because you have to win first before you can enter the competition.
