I stuck an additional magnetic ring on outside of case that jb hifi sell for $9.95 for 2. 35mm from base of phone to bottom of ring. Ordered the genuine case from HMD UK. Having to get someone I know in UK to post it to me after delivery by DHL within UK. Weird! Hmd AU shows the accessories, but absolutely no way of buying them.
I'll just get a Fairphone 5 thank you very much! This could be well worth it if some of the internal components happened to be interchangeable with the Fairphone though as both have parts that I'd love to Frankenstein together to create a "flagship ultrarepairable".
With the caveat that it's been a long while since I had the XR21 in, but in the same YT test as the Skyline, the XR21 did a lot worse. Here's my video review of the XR21: th-cam.com/video/3nFzXj5X3wg/w-d-xo.html and here's the written review if that's more useful to you: alexreviewstech.com/nokia-xr21-review-heavy-duty/
I got one at JB Hifi. Reduced to $699 from. $899. Disappointed! Case bought from Amazon is coming from Germany. Don't think the magsafe will work with case on.
Given the soft magnetic connection, I would have my doubts, *unless* the case itself also has a magnetic alignment ring (which some do for other phones, not sure in this case).
Interesting choice. I'd probably lean towards the Oppo in that case; while I do like some of what HMD's doing around repairability in the Skyline, the Oppo tested a little better for battery life for me, and that's always critical. How does this retail for double the price it actually goes for?
Because it is bout south of 400 euros. Then again that is in Finland.

How is the battery life compared to Nokia XR21?

@AlexKidman I read it. I now own a XR21 and the battery does not hold a complete day. I will buy Samsung A55 or the HMD Skyline next.
Hmm
For $900 you should just about be getting two of these phones ☺️😉

oh I wish a phone like this came with a good cpu.
Maybe they forgot to work on the actual parts
Alex. Would you go for the Oppo Reno 12 pro or the HMD Skyline. ATM they are trading at the same price... Thanks

Better than I expected
@@alialshamony3268For me it's good
@@alialshamony3268 Can go head to head with Pixel 8 and the pro mode option on the camera is even more better
@@erwinfranco9572 Thank you, but is the camera good in low light places?
No comparison with Fairphone = miss
