- Finally a new video, after months of preparation for my Masters recital last week! This is a live recording from the concert of one of my favourite works for the guitar. I am playing the beautiful piece 'Reverie op 19 - Nocturne' by Giulio Regondi. Reverie means to be lost in a day dream, and Nocturne is a piece that reflects themes from the night. I am playing on a 19th Century J.A Stauffer copy by Jan Tuláček.

This is my favorite performance by her. She's so relaxed being in her element. Our founding fathers of guitar would be impressed.
There is something extra special about Stephanie. The way she touches the strings is different from everyone else. Kyuhee Park is the only other guitarist I have heard with a similar sound. But her fluidity and lyricism is second to none. We are blessed to have her ❤️😄🙏☯️

@@Ragadeeandy I know & love Ana Vidovic. Truly. Somehow the sound Kyuhee draws from that guitar and her musicality & technique just hit me.
@@Ragadeeandy Ana is a great player but imho she's better with Bach then e.g. Tarrega pieces. I'm not criticising her, she's way above my skills! There's just more fluidity with Stephanie when it comes to playing vibrant pieces from southern european composers.
Wonderful. She has something more than other classical guitarists. Fluidity.

The lovely lady makes a superb sound from the old strung box. It's well worth the work you've put in Stef,if you were not playing guitar l would not have discovered Sinesi, Charlton or the other guy. Excellent rendition of Piazzolla.

It really moves me deep inside to hear Stephanie play such passionate music. It's kind of a tickle in my solar plex... life center. That guitar has old music in it.
2:08--I love the way you begin the arpeggio passage so totally grave to let the dissonances sink in and then progress through a smoothly delivered and ultimately exciting accelerando.

I was introduced to Segovia in the early 60s. Not since then have I felt the same feelings - this young woman elicits the same emotions as the master did for me all those years ago.

Stephanie is a virtuoso of the highest order. I have watched videos of Segovia and I honestly believe Stephanie is far better.

I love this piece. Those shimmering tremolo's. Your sliding rest stroke across the strings on the descending arpeggio is perfect.
