    We have never joined the 'claparama' down our way . From the start it came over as emotional blackmail. I was a nurse and I would never have wanted to be publicly thanked
    for doing my job. I would just do my best for my patients. I don't believe describing those still fortunate to keep working/earning as 'keyworkers /frontliners' . This is gratuitous nonsense.
    We are all being supportive within our means. If Johnson truly cared for people he would
    not have dumped on his family and moved his much younger mistress into Downing Street.
    Downing Street has now been trashed by this self-gratifying boffer. Who has not had the
    understanding , the moral fibre to stand by the people he purports to leave and dismiss
    his self-indulgent adviser....an adviser whom I am told did not advise the PM of his intentions to swerve on the lockdown he advised. in the first place. Along with Neil Ferguson who also swerved, and who also advised on lockdown. You couldn't make this up!!

    • @tonys518
      @tonys518 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well it would be rather unfortunate if you were employed as a nurse and didn't want to do the best for your patients . It kind of comes with the job description. Though in my 39 yes in the NHS I experienced a few who basically wanted to zip.
      You can't say why People clapped unless you've asked them all . But I think it was to show people in a difficult and sometimes potentially life threatening position that the general public were appreciative of their efforts and u expect often glad they didn't have to do it .
      I'm not a Tory but your Boris bashing is just silly you don't know him you've never spoken to him it's just conjecture or thinking that fits in with your view.likewise, I don't know D Cummings but he has been the victim of a witch hunt by an often rabidly anti Cummings / Johnson press and media who put the story on the front pages and kept it in the media only to find that the story was flawed often untrue , he didn't go twice , he wasn't sniffing bluebells the guy who reportedly saw him now says he made it up ,and altered his app to put him their . At one point their were 5 sky reporters in Durham so they were all defying the lock down and over 75% of them were journalists.....but hey it fits your narrative .
      The odd thing about this is that Cummings has never and still isn't a member of the Tory party ,Johnson is a one nation Tory so a liberal . So this about something else ....erm could it be Brexit . Yep their you go some people just don't know how to lose do they ? Especially if you have a media platform.

    Flicking through the comments I see that many ' commentators' have had, somewhat unsurprisingly, to endure 13 minutes of Alistair Campbell in a video entitled 'Alistair Campbell interview'. If all you have to say about the points he made is that he is a 'war criminal' and that he should be 'in prison', perhaps you could find a better way to spend your time. If you support Cummings try constructing a lucid argument to justify why this is the case.
    And before you start your politically motivated tirade, remember a significant number of the PCP believe Cummings should go, with conservative MPs reporting a deluge of complaints from constituencies.
    If this country as a whole could move on from tired rhetoric, and tribal politics and try exploring the quality of the argument perhaps we could begin to rebuild what remains of this shattered country.

This is the SCALE of the challenge, and amazingly the Track & Trace Apollo rocket did indeed take off the following week, and we ARE en route to the moon!

    These criticisms only stand up if Cummings was lying. He might be, but there’s no proof of that. What this boils down to, mostly, is that people resent that someone working at the top of government has the option of self isolating with his household in a cottage. If a care worker on minimum wage was so lucky and did the same thing in all the same circumstances the percentage of the people who thought she had broken the rules would be much lower.

    🛡️ We are the shielded. We number two million. Nigh on three moons have waxed and waned since we were walled up in our homes to flatten the curve and save the NHS. Last night Albion's golden-haired blunderer spoke, and, lo, the following dawn we were abruptly ushered from the inner depths of lockdown, blinking and stumbling warily into the light. We are not all grim, grey and brittle-boned (for some of us, though youthful, are drug-dependent). But our hair is almost as long as our memories of the bringers of poll-tax, ERM failure, and bank bail-outs to benefit the plutocrats. Our minds mistrust a cabinet of clowns who speak with tongues, nay, not so much forked as shredded. It is easier to read the entrails of bats than to wring meaning from their garbled hasty ill-thought-out utterances. We see the younglings frog-marched back to the halls of indoctrination for a pointlessly short experiment in exposure to the invisible enemy. We know this releases their parents to toil in the mines of Mammon for our masters' profit and gain, which the media tells us is "so richly deserved". But why stand we here in the disinfectant sunshine? It seems a sudden whim of our nation's venal guardians. Are we too to be sacrificed upon the distracting altar of Demonic Cummings, the power behind the throne, that which abides and that which advises in the teeth of its own misguided hypocrisy and arrogance? Or is it just to save a bit of money on the food parcels? 😄

    Opinions, opinions galore in these troubled times, I wish a lot of of the big mouths would shut up instead of making their destructive comments. Campbell is a seriously silly twisted boy, incapable of looking at any fact without bias or dogma. He says one thing which is true though: "You know you've lost it when the whole country is laughing at you." A few days after his remainer buddies' dishonest and hypocritical conspiracy against Dominic Cummings had failed, the Durham Police summed it up: D Cummings MAY have committed a minor infringement of the regulations" but one that did not require any action. My word for Campbell's influence on politics during the past four years (never mind his fronting for Blair) is "poisonous". He is a middle class posing lefty remainer and his effusions of bile have not and will never win votes for Labour.
