- Spending a day on Japan's famous cat island (猫島) in Fukuoka!
Known as "Cat Heaven Island” to locals, Ainoshima Island in Fukukoka, Kyushu (相島) is home to over 200 cats who roam freely, circle your feet and brighten up your day. You could tell it was a sweet day for us cat lovers. Even our cat Meng would be proud (or envious?).
Join us as we meet all the Japanese cats we can take on this simple yet special cat island in Fukuoka, Japan!
Make sure to stick around for a hot bowl of Fukuoka's famous Hakata style ramen at Hakata Issou and some late night Yodobashi Camera and konibini shopping.

Thank you! We arrived on the day the cherry blossoms were predicted to bloom, but they were late this year! Didn't bloom until 1 week later which was March 30. 🌸

Im late to the party but I have a question regarding traveling with film…how can I assure that the film is not damage during my travel? I’m going with my instax FujiFilm mini evo and I’m so scare it will damage the film I take before even using it.
You can always request "hand check" for film. Most security officers will oblige, especially in Japan. Thanks for watching! 😻

The only places I ran into some fuss was in airports in the Middle East (Dubai, Doha). Im not sure they understood the fragility of film. I had to wait some time but was let through eventually. But airports in Asia are okay. Good luck!
