I've seen a lot of the horse races on television and the sound that is heard is usually the the announcer.
I had always thought that the noise of the track would be the thundering of horses hooves. After this, I could imagine it gets LOUD on the track, at the home stretch! Every rider out there Yelling "Yah! get up! Go! Go! Go!"🐎🐎🐎

+roy brooks Probably my pick to win Cheltenham's equivalent, Broadway Novices Chase and hopefully the first step on the path to a great career for Lizzie Kelly. I watched this horse win at Haydock on Betfair Chase Day a year prior to this.
+uhegbu he doesn't like Cheltenham as it's too uneven. doubt he will run. only see his best at other tracks, Ascot and kempton to name 2. he will get better trust me.

Congratulations Lizzie, but it's not even close to being the first Grade 1 jumps success for a female jockey. The UK is just about the LAST country where this has happened. :-)

+Channer UK They might be appalling at spelling, and quite frankly I wouldn't want to spend all that long in a room with them... ("No" instead of "know", such a ghastly spelling mistake to make)... But they're right to be fair. "By" the stallion, "Out of" the dam. It's an error that gets to me a little too... Furthermore, I've found that correcting a person's spelling is often a final refuge for those children who know they're wrong too.... :P
Until the wind blew the peak of Lizzie's cap back, this looked like being a bit of a non-runner as far as the jockeycam went.

+Christy Dolan not sure its exactly what the jockey hears. It is the wind, but the noise the wind makes blowing over a small microphone is not the same as what your ears would hear. The jockeys can definitely hear the roar of the crowd and the course commentary... in the straight at least.

The horse won, DESPITE having that screaming, ineffective and moderately useless sack on it's back! Forget " Girl Power" in racing- that's fortunately, never going to happen! When the day comes that Nicky Henderson, Paul Nicholls or Willie Mullins have a female stable jockey, then I'll admit I'm wrong- but hell will freeze over on the same day! :-)
