I only noticed after watching the video again ... but Daigo read Bonchan focus cancel on the tiger shot and used air tatsu to avoid the high kick at 2:32. Pure genious lol

Compare this match to RY vs SA matches from a year ago. You'll see a distinct evolution going on here. The Japanese seem to have abandoned "shenanigans" and really upped their footsies.

Odd how Daigo gets all these exhibition matches and video specials, but Mago doesn't. I guess Daigo just has the bigger name and history.

Yeah, if you can scare him enough Mago tends to buckle under pressure. Just look at the recent SF4 nationals. He played reaaaaaaaaaaally badly.
