  • The first and only travel documentary made in Bhutan, by Bhutanese, and sponsored by Namkha Journeys. 2 local hosts take the viewer on a unique journey around their country (in this series- Thimphu, Paro, Punakha), and reflect on Bhutan's history, development, religion and culture. 10% of all proceeds from a trip through Namkha Journeys is donated to Karchu Monastery in Bumthang, Bhutan.

    This land is very special because they care for Nature. It is one of their number one laws to protect Nature and keep her alive. That's fantastic! Awe-inspiring! Why don't we do the same??? May God protect this land and its people!!!

    Can I ask, is it required that individuals in Bhutan dress in traditional clothes? How about foreigners? It's my dream to move to Bhutan, so I'm really wondering about this.

      you dont have to wear national dress since you are a tourist. we only wear national dress for schools and other official purposes.

  • @rindin100
    @rindin100 12 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Don't go making guesses! you know nothing about how Ethnic Bhutanese look like. I dont know who has filled you with these false assumptions about Bhutan but stop living in the ancient past and come to the future! we are in 2012. Read books! watch news! and find out that Bhutan is a country on its own! never was and never will be a part of nepal!

  • @rindin100
    @rindin100 12 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    May i correct you there! Those refugees are NOT Bhutanese. And fyi they left off their own accord.
    If you live in Bhutan and study out REAL history you will be enlightened as to what ACTUALLY happened! So dont go making assumptions about our country's history that you know NOTHING about.

  • @harigurung6250
    @harigurung6250 12 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Bhutan is a kingdom of buddhist but it is shame on their kingdom that thay had created the largest refugess in the world which is really agaist the philosophy of buddha torturing killing, raping and forcing to adopt their culture. I am a buddhist as well but I dont really practice and follow the bhutanese philosophy of inhumanity brutality and narrowminded culture of bhutan why they dont understand that their own brothers from tibet are facing the same problems like the bhutanses refugees.

  • @harigurung6250

    Few years back IINTERNET and TELEVISION were banned in Bhutan and the only source of information they used to get is from school curriculum where they were been taught that those southern bhutanese were Anti Nationalist.
    So if u really wants to find about the truth then just google it we DONT NEED to go in Bhutan and learn what u people taught about the truth.

    • @drukpa6200
      @drukpa6200 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      and let me guess ... people should go to wherever you are from? it was not banned, Bhutan was an isolated country thus no facility that time. SMH
