We thought we'd ease back into our TH-cam schedule with this mini history adventure after Lucie's sabbatical in New Zealand. We have filmed heaps of new content both here and abroad! We can't wait to share what we've been up to!!! L & E
Nice to have you back. Chipping Norton is my home town chuffed to bits that my favourite TH-camrs have told the history behind the Stones. A place I go often to walk my dog gutted I never bumped into you. The Cotswolds is steeped in History as is as us locals call it “ Chippy” Anyway Thank you & if you are ever this way again I’d love to come say Hello.
No way!!! Wish we had known!! We could have had a cuppa at the garden centre! 😂 We had such a nice visit! Hopefully we can check out more of the area next time and do some more history content! 🤎
Hi Lucie and Ellie! Those wacky witches sure loved turning would-be kings into stone, didn't they? Thank you for taking us to places I've never heard of, I totally enjoy the stories and history! :-)
Love your videos ❤. Will be in London in May, and look forward to exploring those Roman sites explored in one of your previous videos. Thanks again for keeping the interest alive!
Delighted to have the both of you back with a new video! What a fascinating and remarkably ancient site. Very beautiful if not a bit spooky. Looking forward to the videos to come!
Great to see you back, missed your videos, this one was so interesting it got mind working, as very old and legends about it do you know has anyone sat in the middle of the circle of stones over night to see we hat energies, sounds etc can be heard, also as near the Kings Tomb was burial sites, do you know if any remains have been found in the past to see what sort people roamed the area, thanks for great video
We’ve missed you too Kim!! I think you’d have to be pretty brave to observe the stones over night! We’d definitely chicken out!! In the excavations of the burial site, cremations were found dating to around 1,700 BC but there’s also evidence of human activity on the site since the Mesolithic period, Flint blades and arrowheads, which is incredible 6,500-4,000 BC. The Romans also left some pottery 😂
Enjoyed this departure as always, of course England didn't exist when the stones were according to the archaeology erected. I however often think there's a seed of truth lingering in folklore certainly a bit more than just a seed in the Anglo Saxon Chronicles (for example).
A side quest we thought was worth the visit! 😂 Folklore stories are such a fascinating part of our landscape and history, it would be interesting to look at the local folklore around Lincolnshire. Maybe more stories worth exploring!
You'd be surprised how much history there is on your doorstep my Roman hoard was 5 mins. Kent has Antiquarian Societal volumes as does Sussex written in the c18th and c19th Gentlemen with time like Hasted (although he ended up in prison) left us some real gems

@@RomanFound oh my reply got magically turned into fragments all of a sudden. It vanished
Oh no is it being a bit glitchy!
I shouldn't be so precious with my ramblings! Post removal would surely remove the lot. Hopefully we'll speak some more
