Spectacular footage, but so sad to see the end of a British industrial icon. Sort of sums up the demise of our industrial capability today.

@@paulnolan1352 It's not all political. People buy the cheapest possible product every day. Companies try to produce locally but they cannot sustain because the consumer has no sense of responsibility. The economy for manufacturing is made up of these millions of small purchasing decisions that are made every day. But if we consumed fewer and the good things we couldn't have _ALL_ the things, shocking eh. It would required to learn about supply chains as well. Look around your home, your clothes your car, there isn't much left nowadays that doesn't have a significant portion of Asian supply chain in it. People in the western world have to thank their own greed for the demise of manufacturing really.

Music and Editing was awful. Just show us the complete unedited footage of each camera angle with raw audio. Why do you need to act like it's a movie trailer mocked up in 10 minutes by an intern?

That's just a criminal act. All those skilled jobs and a furnace like that gone.
Some MP with an interest in the land ?

There is quite a lot of interesting information about this land, who is interested in the land and what is happening with the land in recent editions of Private Eye.

The destroyed artefact of Teesside’s wonderful history. It should have been left alone as nothings going to be done with the land for many years anyway

It's not safe to leave a structure like that abandoned- it becomes more dangerous and harder to secure.

If it was up to me i would have lettet it be there and let it look very Old and rusty. I like that. (Fantastic footage)

Presumably the producers thought this was a job well done. Seems to me that this was a sad event in so many ways and the loud fast music and jump cut editing were out of place.

    Hi,
I'm a musician from the UK. I'm creating a music video for a track I've written and wondered whether you'd allow me to use a few seconds from your brilliant video.
I would credit you in the video end credits.
I should add that I make no money from the music.
    Thanks
    John.

Nothing lasts forever. Zero point in looking back. More important things in life than a closed blast furnace being demolished

those are the cowpers/stoves. they are filled with refractory brick on the inside wich makes them very hard to demolish, nearly impossible with explosives actualy
