I wish TH-cam existed when I started. I had the fantasy starter box with orks and empire and every base was just pva glue and then a huge sprinkling of flock. Looking back it was awful but at the time it seemed better than just a green painted base! Kids, take advantage of all the great knowledge samwise is giving you.

i had a little WTF moment when you put the green ak interactive paint on.... but it does look great! I bet your head gets a little light when you are batch painting with all of those fumes though :-)

Yes a window is opened for sure when it comes to using the enamels and white spirit, Rachel hates it when I use the stuff! -Sam

WargamerOnline have you tried odourless spirit. Will that work?

Little tip: If you don't like using a cotton bud because it leaves strings on your model, you can use really cheap make-up brushes from the dollar/pound shop. They work perfectly and don't leave the strings :).

Fantastic! Thanks Sam, I'll be getting myself some of the AK stuff I think to try this on the rest of the army! I assume any white spirit will do?!

Indeed I just use cheap stuff from Poundland but if you get odourless thinner apparently it is less harsh on removing the other paints- Sam

Did u make that base or is it a resin base? Really like how everything works together. I love ak interactive texture paints. Right now I've got the dark earth and concrete. The concrete is amazing the realistic texture it makes.

It’s premade and resin from Wargames Exclusive, it’s a brilliant base and high quality resin certainly recommended from me! -Sam
