  • Song made by Baja Mali knindza
In the summer of 1942 Serbians in the village of Miljevac were killed by the NDH(Ustasha) by being thrown into a cave this song is in memory of those Serbs.
I do not own the sound

Nice video but here are some more accurate lyrics:
    What is happening to us?
    Serb women in black scarves
    Ravens circle above the villages
On the Dinara, all the springs have dried up
They are throwing us into pits again
    Serbs, don't forget Miljevac
It's cloudy, it smells like rain
There is nothing left in Drniš anymore
Cursed be the dam on Peruča
So many wounds it gave us
    Many families cried
Near the church of Saint Elijah (Ilija)
    Sadness surrounds my heart
There is shooting around Obrovac once again
    In Cetina ham is drying
There is not a living soul left in Kijevo
The song is about the destruction and exodus of Serb towns and villages in Krajina during 1993, but one sentence mentioning Miljevac is intertwining and contextualizing this with the struggle of Serbs in Krajina during WW2 and referring to what the Ustasha did on August 3rd of 1941 when they killed 80 Serbs from the village Miljevac, 51 of which were children.

It's newly composed song as I can tell, but events from 1941 and 1990-ies are overlapping. And song is basically about the Passions of Serbs during Croato-muslim* genocide over Serbs in WW2 and about Yugoslav civil war in 90-ies and also Serbian 1995 Exodus (Croatian ethnical cleansing of Krajina Serbs).
    *"Muslims" are today's "Bosniaks".

the genocide was done by the government. most croats didnt and still dont hate serbs. and, for the argument of all croats being ustase, do not forget serbs also had a nazi collaborationist government that noone supported.

Good question. But it actually was so. O.K, to be fully honest, up to year 1974 Yugoslav muslims could choose between Serbs or Croats of Muhamedan religion (which reffered to their ethnical origin before converting to islamic religion). Duriing WW2 in Croatia they were considered Croats, even they've been called "flowers of Croat people" (although they probably would be of Serbian origin in estimated ratio of roughly 80:20). After WW2 they could also choose to declare as ethnical Yugoslavs (as all citizens of Yugolavia could). And in 1974 they were ethnical Muslims - up to 1991, when they are Bosniaks (which is strange, as this mean "people of Bosnia", Bosnian, but Slaviic muslims from Serbia or Montenegro refer to themselves as such, too. When everything put aside, except conflict in Kosovo, major conflict in Yugoslavia is basicaly religious, as main difference between Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks (all Slavs speaking same language) is religion - Croats are catholic, Serbs are orthodox. Even conflict in Serbia and later (lesser intensity) in Macedonia has strong rekigious component (together with ethnical) as Macedonians are Slavic and orthodox too, and Kosovo Albanians are non-Slavic muslims).
Sorry if TLDR, but there's no short explanation

@@kosovosrbij6135 wepl, the muslims in serbia and montenwgro live in sandzak. Named after sandzak of novi pazar. This region used to be under the control of "bosnia" , vilayet i think or elayet, even by the time the Austrians invaded.
Bosnjak or bosniak is not strange, and BiH is a multinational country. This means, a citizen of any of the 3 constituent nations, a croat in Mostar, a serb in Bijeljina, a muslim in Bihac would all be bosnians, or bosanci, and bosnian is the national identity, just like yugoslav, not ethnic identity, like muslim, croat and serb 👍

Therere is somethin weird about this song. You say it's about the Serbs killed in 1941 but it mentions the Peruča lake and Peruča dam which was built in 1960 so either this song was made a lot after the events which it talks about or It's from the Yugoslavian wars which I find more likely because it also mentions cities from Dalmatia with a big Serbian population which fled in front of the advancing Croatian army(Drniš, Obrovac)

It is from 1993, sung by Baja Mali Knindža a pro-serb musician, located in Knin during the start of the wars. The song is more or less retrospective or symbolic, using historical events to convey a more meaningful message during the war.

The song is about the events of 1993, when the Croats attacked the Republic of Serbian Krajina!!! The pits are mentioned because the Croats in Miljevci, which are mentioned in the song, killed a large number of Serbian civilians and captured soldiers, so it is associated with the events of the Second World War when the Ustasha they killed Serbs in similar ways. As for the Peruća dam, it was controlled by the Serbs, but in 1993, during the aforementioned attack, it was attacked by Croatian forces, and many Serbian soldiers died there!!!

It is an interesting fact that in Yugoslavia there are more places based on the root "Kiev" than in the entire USSR.
The theory that the Slavs spread from the south to the north, and not the other way around, has far more evidence.

I believe you are right. Southern Slavic languages are also more complex, with more words, meanings, even phrases than Russian for example. The modern theory completely discredits the sheer amount of Slavs there are!
