it worked because the enemy kept comitting blowing 2-3 ults mostly on him while his team had the perfect comp for viego resets which came in clutch in the end. it basically works if the enemy team is very reliant on certain cds in teamfights like rakan r, gwen w and r, zed r, w for example. u basically gotta figure out whether u just need to survive or deal significant damage
its the same thing for shit like vayne and kog. u build the items that will counter their win condition. like if u playing kog against idk, a fed talon, u can go randuin sterak/titanic hydra bcuz u know he will commit really hard to kill u. but if the enemy doesnt have this type of condition (now their win condition is sejuani r or rumble r type shit), u can build nornally and just play better, bcuz the enemy wont need to commit hard to kill u, so building tank is almost useless
