    I live in Nashville and I was seriously considering going for a drive this afternoon. I was hesitating a bit because of the current cost of gasoline. The last time I got a fill-up it was around $55.00 and this was the cause for my hesitation. I saw your video about driving around Briley Parkway. From Briley Parkway, if you take the Gallatin Road Exit (12:35) you are about 5 minutes from my house so a lot of what you covered is what I would probably have been covering so I decided to just take my drive virtually and save the money for gas. I love looking around the beautiful city of Nashville. I wish it could have been on a sunshiny day, but I can hardly blame you for the weather so thank you for this video even though it was on a rainy day!

    That's a wonderful scenic view on the top side of the Briley between the Ashland City, & Clarksville Pike exits looks a little like Lookout Mtn in Chattanooga.

    This used to be a Nashvillian secret to get around rusg hour traffic. Now with everyone moving here everyone seems to know about it.😢

    TN 155 serves as an inner loop around Nashville. This is the northern part of the loop, which goes from I-40 near the airport to I-40 west on the other side of town. Two major purposes: servicing Opryland and giving truckers a way around the low bridges on I-24, 40 and part of 65 through downtown. It also helps divert through traffic around downtown. The southern half is essentially a city street. When complete, TN 840 will loop Nashville well to the south.

      Yeah I don't think I-840 will be built to the Northern part of Nashville with so many people opposed to the idea and the terrain. It's sad that many people are mostly against (especially the wealthy) what would help us most.

    Must be a nice ride along TN-155

    I never understood why TDOT didn't make this into a full limited access freeway all away around to form a total beltway.

      Me neither. I guess they don’t have the space, or want to put money into it. I also feel that the speed limit of 55 is too low, should be 65.

    How many states use that pavement? (FDOT)

    • @w-josh
      @w-josh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Idk, but I love it. Most states that use it don't sound exactly like it.
      States that use it
      Alabama
      South Carolina
      Kentucky(sounds a little different)
      Indiana(most people compare it to this state)
      Mississippi
      New Jersey
      Tennessee usually doesn't sound like this though
      States that use the same grooving as that
      Florida, South Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, New Jersey

      @@w-josh Do you know if Louisiana uses the same pavement groovings as Florida?

    • @w-josh
      @w-josh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@theterminatordude Louisiana uses the same grooves as Texas.
      Florida, South Carolina, Alabama, New Jersey, (Recently started), and Hawaii uses the same grooves as Florida.
      Maryland grooves and Tennessee grooves also look similar to Florida

      @@w-josh I think Mississippi also uses the same grooves as Florida.

      @@theterminatordude Yes forgot to include that one. Mississippi and Alabama seem like the same state because of their similarities.

    Not sure if TN 155 should be converted into a 3-digit interstate like I-940 since it is considered a bypass around Nashville.

      If you look on a map TN 155 is a ringroad

      But I guess it could be used as a bypass

      Briley Pkwy needs updates at some interchanges including that one and at I-40. I see why Tennessee has few stack interchanges because look at what happens when they make one
