I'ts my favourite plane! I just started building a 1/12 balsa wood scale model kit for RC-flight. After that I'll start building my 1/8 scale balsa wood model kit. When all that's finished I'll start building the biggest one with 206 cm wingspan. I purchased the building plans 30 years ago but never found the time to built it...
I guess the reason the back-end is so VERY WRONG has something to do with the ever decreasing level in the Grants bottle on the workbench....correctly reading plans is harder when your "blind"

Also are the wings material you glued onto the wings and body as tight as possible then iron it to get it to stretch?

The rudder is totally wrong, the DR1 didn't have a vertical stabilizer
