This girl is beautiful. And I'm not just talking outside, although she is, I'm talking inside. She has the kind of energy to convince me that the world would be a better place if more if it had it. She's such a ray of sunshine and I feel like she doesn't belong in our chaotic Era, she belongs somewhere more sophisticated. I love her so much. ❤️❤️

My high school is closed for at least 3 weeks. However I suspect it might be longer. All the libraries around me are closed and while I have more than enough books it’s just odd.

Wish I could go study in a bookshop for a change but this coronavirus business really be messing with our usual routines 😩 but Waterstones cafes have the best coffees 😍
I feel the same 😟 it's only now I realise how amazing our world was before all this, no matter how much we complain about the little things. Glad we have Ruby's videos to keep us occupied and positive 😊 I do marketing and have been told to work from home (I study event management in my spare time which is why I love Ruby's content) but these videos will keep me inspired and motivated during this time! 😊

My country has closed all schools and universities due to the coronavirus, so we'll have online classes. I cannot believe I will graduate in May without actually going to college and seeing my friends and professors. I feel sad, disappointed and robbed since I really wanted to experience this last semester to the fullest. And now we don't even know if we'll have the graduation ceremony. So don't take your university experience for granted and cherish every moment! :)

Stay safe and good luck with your degree! ❤️ My biggest study-related challenge atm is to stay motivated and productive in order to finish these classes online (I don't have the discipline I'm afraid, that's why I liked going to college - the atmosphere there pushed me to focus).

I miss going book shopping but this vlog made up for it. Also do you know, this book here 7:42 (The Invention of Hugo Cabret), is absolutely beautiful. It is part graphic novel, part written as a story. Do read it if you haven't already. I also have to get my hands on it.

well observed!! I actually mainly use Trello for organising TH-cam related things (planning my video schedule) but I also love to use it to plan out summative assessments for university :)x

I like fantasy if it's integrated into real life (i.e. the wizarding world resides alongside the muggle world)
I also don‘t like fantasy, but I‘ve determined that it’s not about the topic so much as the way that fantasy is usually written. So if a fantastic story is written in a way I enjoy, I will like it. But that is very rare. I do enjoy HP.
I am a Potterhead as well but I also do not like fantasy.
I love Harry Potter and I’m a Potterhead, but I HATE other fantasy books. They just don’t interest me that much; I’m into psychological thriller or mystery books of that sort. Harry Potter will forever be the only fantasy books I’ll read.

I Capture the Castle and His Dark Materials are some of my very favourite books ever - you need to get onto them! I’ve also just started Underland and can recommend it so far.

Ruby THIS WAS ME at Exeter! I called it my “four point compass” Waterstones + Lush + coffee one and artigianos!
I cannot recommend coffee one enough for studying, it has books all over and the coffee is a dream!

For anyone wondering, the first book Ruby picked up, Underland, is incredibly good. Top ten on my life list. We in Boston, MA once had a beautiful Waterstones in a historic building. If you're from my area and Ruby's age, it was before your time. The small restaurant attached to it had a kitchen fire that spread. Thankfully no one was hurt. The old building survived. But alas the stock was lost and the store didn't reopen. What a sad loss.
Ah, I miss Waterstones so much! We used to have shop here in Australia called 'Borders' which was really, really similar to Waterstones but it does not exist anymore. This year I am trying to expand my reading genres - I always read crime fiction which I love and am in the middle of two long and fantastic series (the Sebastian St Cyr series by C.S. Harris and the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovich).Just finished the sixth RoL book last night and started the sixth St Cyr book this morning). Absolutely loving them and go from one to the next. But after binging on Ruby's videos over the past fortnight has inspired me to expand this a little so I have created a wish list of books that I would not normally read for this year's reading.
Looking forward to more 'Day in my Life' and 'Study Vlogs' from Ruby :-)
