I have never heard of this, or realised it existed. It could be converted to flats but Harpurhey is horrible now. The streets are full of rubbish and there is no pride.
Yeah never knew myself until I got tipped off about it from my uncle who was staying at a hotel near it at the time but definitely shame when they could do it up and house people for sure
About 27 years ago I was growing some weed in my ex girlfriend's attick on some board's I'd put up in there, I was watering them whilst iwas quite stoned, I took a step backwards slipped n fell through the ceiling in between two of the beams, looking back apart from her coming upstairs n going apeshit because of the hole in the ceiling it must have looked quite comical to her😄, I was dangling through the hole stuck there😂, the next day though I was in agony as I'd smashed n broke the bottom ribs at each side of my ribcage lesson learned🤔, when my ribs had recovered from the pain I bought some plasterboard n a bag of plaster, I fitted the plaster board in the hole n it was fine so I skimmed over it with some plaster, I'm not n never done plastering before but it looked smooth n fine so I went downstairs for a brew, later on in the evening I went in the spare room to check it n it had peeled off of the plaster board n slopped onto the floor!🙄😂, Anyway that was the last straw I guess n we ended up spitting up!😂, in hindsight it did me a favour as I wanted out of the relationship anyway as she was a crazy person n kept threating to harm herself if I left her!😏, morral of the story be careful around the beams but I know you a smart guy n are always careful, I'd thought I'd share my crazy little escapade with you anyway!😂, takecare mate!😜✌️
