I am really looking forward to picking up my Kanile’a ST-19 in two weeks…and yes, I did get the active with volume control. Can’t wait to plug it in and play!

Joe now this is near and dear to my heart. Thank you...of all my ukuleles your passive is the best most balanced sound across all strings...
    Sincerely Thank you my friend!

Love my active pick-up! I appreciate the effort you have made to build a great 'ukulele for musicians with all sorts of different needs! The 'sound guys' - and the 'sound gals' appreciate Kanile'a!

Starting to make decisions about my super tenor, and a pickup is definitely in the plans. Great video!

Thanks for covering this topic. I am wondering where the battery pack attaches inside the uke. Is it on the back directly through the sound hole? Do you see it through the sound hole when looking directly at the ukulele?

Mine is attached to the back part of the body, not the sound hole (front), really easy to get to.

Today is May 10, 2023, and on Monday, I finalize my order with Lani, who has been most helpful. I am not adding a pick-up to my order, and since I won't be playing in a band or for any groups, it would be overkill to have the pick-up. Am I making a mistake? I found these videos of yours most helpful. Thank you very much.

9 months later, just my opinion, but if you decide to add a pickup, I'm sure Kanile'a can add one for you.

What is the cost if one of our customers at the PCC wants to have Kanile’a add either a passive or active pickup?

Hi Joe. Do you think adding a pickup to a high end uke devalues it

I have ukelele with passive pickup. The passive pickup is too weak, i have to increase Gain from the mixer during live petformances.

Can I add a pick up to the Ukulele I already have?

Aloha, yes we can add pickups to any Kanile’a at any time.

When it comes to sound recording in studios we 100% agree and that is how we record them in studio. But when someone is playing on stage for a crowd of 10,000 people singing and dancing and putting on a show… a pickup is a must. Our artists perform on massive stages and put on massive shows and using a microphone would not work at all for that setting. The sound would be quite bad.
