Literally the bag was so good that at the beginning I thought you just sewed records to a bag you bought haha I kept watching and saw you actually MADE the bag part too. It's so awesome and super creative! Love it!
Personally if I was gonna glue the records onto the vinyl anyways, I would have sewn the vinyl before so, so I didn't have to poke holes into the records. I think it would look more polished. I hope you don't take it as a complaint, because I LOVE your craft ideas and techniques. Keep up the great work, Amy! :D
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, I hVe been searching for someone to tell me how they cut the vinyl records and you are the only person who has actually mentioned the heated knife (great tool) phew! I love your bag and I am very impressed by you sewing /crafting skills, you are a talented wee thing ;D I liked your video, you made me smile, once again thankyou :)
Very cute! I'm glad you mentioned using non valuble ones, I can see some crafty teens going through grandad's record collection and pulling out A beatles album or something and going "This looks cute!" Also, be careful about leving your purse in a hot car, the vinyl record will warp and can possibly melt if it gets too hot!! But again, very cute! I may just have to make myself one!
i just made me one for my design class at my school!! i got so many compliments!! thank you sooooo much for your wonderful D.I.Y.!! love your channel also! God bless!
Wow I didn't know heaten knives existed. I need one now. That's a very good tutorial, very clear and interesting. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us :).
Cool, I wanted a bag for my rock n roll birthday dress..this was so nice to watch, clear and very helpful..some tips I'd not even have thought about..thank you..yours looks fab! Mines a single size record..fingers crossed 😊💃🏾
maybe if you watch that part several times it might make more sense..so you want to measure the length of the middle piece them mark the bottom of the middle piece and from there add the length on all four sides
i thought about that too but i didnt want the sides to slouch in and i felt more comfortable knowing that all the pieces are secured together :) but thanks for your suggestion....thank you! ;)
ooh i know what your talking about! i was looking for those when i went to buy these but i couldnt find any..yeah you should do it with the small ones, itll look cute too
Very nice... and cute! Hey I tried making a record purse after finding one at a thrift store and it didn't turn out that cute. I was doing something completely different.. using mesh instead of vinyl and wood instead of cardboard but i dont use power tools so that was a challenge :/ i might give it another go using some of your techniques ;)
Yes, Vinyl melts very easily, if you apply heat to it, it's going to melt. You can use a woodworking tool or soldering iron if you have one of those. Same thing more or less.
Your name should be Clever CraftyAmy! for they way you took the mistake of having too much material on the bottom of the bag and made it into a pleated asset! BTW...why do you think you had too much material? Your measurements looked like you took the curvature of the album (purse sides) into consideration...thats the only place it seems you could have over compensated. Thank you again, this is pretty damn awesome!
I enjoy watching your videos. You are very talented and I also like reading the bible verses at the end. Kerp up the good work. Peace, love, and God bless you.
This is a phenomenal DIY tutorial!!! I'm so happy to see young folks that are creative and fearless! Please keep up the great work!
