Speed Foiling With "My Dolphins" at Cape Town Harbour | Andy Laufer

Lovely memories from Cape Town's last summer. Those dolphins were always right in front of the harbour at the same time, just before sunset. I love this golden hour in Cape Town. It's also a super nice spot to go Speedfoiling with my small windsurfing gear. I used 6.6 and my 176 JP Australia Hydrofoil Slalom Board and a 60 cm wide (narrow) Neil Pryde Foil Proto 2021. Reached about 33 knots that day. As I was alone, I didn't try to break any records as I was alone but crashed once anyway but all good :)

amazing vid andy! arent u scared that u hit the dolphins accidently when foiling with them? Do you think they can hear you and can avoid swimming in front of you foil even when ur 30 knots? because i would be scared lol

Not really, when they are around I don't go full speed. When you are fast, they disappear.
