All our institutions rotted like a fish, from the head down, So any clean up would have to work from the same direction. There will be a lot of people out there who have witnessed this in places they have worked. They know that if graft is going on, it would be a waste of time reporting it to certain channels, so they have two choices report it and risk your safety or that of your family, or keep quiet and hope things change. I served in a British infantry regiment in the 80s & 90s. I was very proud to be part of the best and most professional army in the world. My regiment like all regiments was proud of its heritage and traditions, but even then I could see the damage being done by amalgamating county regiments, watering down the history of those fine regiments. Our military have been let down by our politicians and is now not fit for purpose.

I served closely with at least 6 of the signatories to that letter over my own 30 year career. Fine officers all of them but none of them was known as a maverick, rabble rouser or alarmist and in fact I’d say they were all very careful reasoned men. It has delighted me that they have spoken up so passionately but it alarms me too because if senior officers known for their dispassionate calm leadership are scared for the future then we should all be in abject terror. I for one will never forget or forgive the Conservative Party for what they have done and are doing to our country.

I served in the army for 41 years, and witnessed it’s decline since about 1990. The majority of the cuts were made by the conservatives, especially Cameron. No way would would I serve today, nor would I recommend any young man to enlist, considering that another four veterans have recently been changed with alleged crimes in the 70’s just last week, in order to beat the 01 May deadline for prosecutions. And CAPITA ?? I was recruiting and training officers when this plan was hatched, I and others said loudly that it would not ever work! We were ignored. Senior officers serving at the time could have and should have stopped it, but were more concerned about their peerage’s. A perilous state of affairs that has been ignored for years.

I left 13 years ago, after 22 years, 3:53 thank God. Even then it was becoming a joke. I would often be told by my senior officers that I needed to get with the modern army, the old army has gone. I used to tell them that's bollox, a snco leads by example, shows example and gives a fearsome rollocking when required. The problem the Rodney's had were the rollockings!!! Softness is weakness, the Army should be feared, not laughed at.
Problem is that the senior officers only say things once they have left the forces - Bloody Too Late - Those that are still in need to be saying these things and not worry about their pensions if they cared that much.
They cannot say them whilst they're in. Anyone dabbling in politics in the British armed forces gets the Royal Order of the Ammo Boot. It is possible for the most senior officers to speak their minds just as their careers come to an end. However, as with the USA, senior officers have become increasingly political in angling for promotion. It is a dicey, thin and mucky line.

I know it sounds kinder silly okay but bare with me. There's a game called hell let loose. It's a war simulator really good tbh quite realistic. The problem with this latest proposal by senior officers is that it increases the risk of death in combat for the few who do selflessly step forward for their country.
I served in a British infantry regiment in the 80s & 90s. I was very proud to be part of the best and most professional army in the world. My regiment like all regiments was proud of its heritage and traditions, but even then I could see the damage being done by amalgamating county regiments, watering down the history of those fine regiments. Our military have been let down by our politicians and is now not fit for purpose.

I served closely with at least 6 of the signatories to that letter over my own 30 year career. Fine officers all of them but none of them was known as a maverick, rabble rouser or alarmist and in fact I’d say they were all very careful reasoned men. It has delighted me that they have spoken up so passionately but it alarms me too because if senior officers known for their dispassionate calm leadership are scared for the future then we should all be in abject terror. I for one will never forget or forgive the Conservative Party for what they have done and are doing to our country.

I served in the army for 41 years, and witnessed it’s decline since about 1990. The majority of the cuts were made by the conservatives, especially Cameron. No way would would I serve today, nor would I recommend any young man to enlist, considering that another four veterans have recently been changed with alleged crimes in the 70’s just last week, in order to beat the 01 May deadline for prosecutions. And CAPITA ?? I was recruiting and training officers when this plan was hatched, I and others said loudly that it would not ever work! We were ignored. Senior officers serving at the time could have and should have stopped it, but were more concerned about their peerage’s. A perilous state of affairs that has been ignored for years.

@@glendakirby5579capita are the private company who run the medicals. theyre fucking useless, as medical rejection is the number one reason why the military cant recruit, they have plenty of people going for it myself included but many of us get rejected for ricidulous reasons, mine being my left eye being uncorrectable, but its funny be ause i worked with a bloke who had full blown autism who was accepted, this bloke cant follow basic instruction on building sites and couldnt grasp the difference between sharp or building sand😂capita being a private company just stick to strick guidlines rather than handle it at a case by case basis, which is why the military is so tiny because they reject so many good candidates. i used to go to mpct kind of like an unofficial training partner of the army ran by ex military servicemen with the aim of helping would be soldiers through the recruitment proccess- get you fit and teach you some skills etc. the quality of lads and girls who went with me was shocking😂 the only decent candidates where the lads who wanted to go marines (of which i was one) but a few of us got rejected, including rhe fittest lad who was there, a beast of a bloke who could run like the wind was rejected for childhood asthma, it clearly wasnt a problem for him anymore but was still rejected. the military itself should be the one handling all recruitment affairs as they know who they want and dont want, a private company hasnt got the ability to judge character they just tick boxes, hence why you see little muppets signing up know who cry when they get shouted at😂 they might tick the boxes on paper but absolute donuts who wouldnt bayonet a sack of spuds never mind a screaming person, ive seen vids of girls crying in training and getting told off for having piercings in, its insulting that these morons have been given a shot but people who really were dedicated to it like me and some of my pals get rejected for stupid non-issue medical bs. rant over.

Universities should return to being seats of academic excellence open to all with the ability to stay the course and win the prize. All children have a gift or talent of some kind, which needs to be developed to its maximum, that is real education, and the future is going to be prosperous and there will be more free time for arts, crafts, and outdoor pursuits, and charitable ventures to help less fortunate to enjoy life. The untold billions stolen from us world wide and returned by Court proceedings will boost this prosperity, so that no one goes without food or a roof. This is what can be attained if we all work together to find the things we can agree on, instead of concentrating on the things that divide us.

I left 13 years ago, after 22 years, 3:53 thank God. Even then it was becoming a joke. I would often be told by my senior officers that I needed to get with the modern army, the old army has gone. I used to tell them that's bollox, a snco leads by example, shows example and gives a fearsome rollocking when required. The problem the Rodney's had were the rollockings!!!

Problem is that the senior officers only say things once they have left the forces - Bloody Too Late - Those that are still in need to be saying these things and not worry about their pensions if they cared that much.
They cannot say them whilst they're in. Anyone dabbling in politics in the British armed forces gets the Royal Order of the Ammo Boot. It is possible for the most senior officers to speak their minds just as their careers come to an end. However, as with the USA, senior officers have become increasingly political in angling for promotion. It is a dicey, thin and mucky line.
