You guys got me into caving. today I Went for the second time ever! First time was the same cave but I came back better equipped with more confidence and made it further than last time. I deal with claustrophobia so it’s really hard for me but I love pushing myself and your videos really help🙏🏻 thanks guys
Honestly nothing creeped me out more than that one tunnel under a city video that went for miles and miles and opened up into a junky backroom that THEN opened up into a clean hospital like area with no signage at all.
The thing that always gets me is 9/10, people have always been there before you. You go though the most insanely long twisty tight tunnels and there's always evidence people have been before you. Somtimes decades or centuries with lights that would have only lit a foot in front of them. It's insane.
Oh yeah, we can pull out all sorts of sketchy old timey light sources. None of which I would use when my power goes out let alone 600 feet below ground dangling from a hemp rope🤣
G'day from Sunshine Coast, Australia 🇦🇺 Thank you for your caving videos. I'm not physically able to go into caves and you guys have the best videos out.
I think one of my biggest fears would be some random dude walking through the woods and say oohh a random rope. And start pulling it in. Then you get back to the entrance and look up 200 feet and say oh dude we're is our rope
The crystal pools and flow stone were amazing, but guys you scare me when things look scary and you say, “I didn’t think that far ahead”. I am relieved to know this wasn’t found footage.
I love it when you guys find these magical subterranean passages! The crystal rock pools and gorgeous formations just make it all worth it. I'm glad to experience it with you all in my super dry, comfortable home! 😉
Thanks for sharing. This was work especially going UP. I was exhausted just watching this one. Rough adventure this time, hope you finally got warmed up. The rocks falling was scary. Be safe boys…
Just saw this and thought you might be interested..... Lol Voronya Cave, also known as Krubera Cave, holds the distinction of being the deepest known cave on Earth. It is situated in the Arabika Massif of the Western Caucasus in Abkhazia, Georgia. The cave reaches an astounding depth of 2,197 meters (7,208 feet), making it a significant point of interest for speleologists and geologists. The cave was first discovered in 1960, but its depth wasn't fully explored until the early 2000s, primarily through the efforts of Ukrainian cavers. These explorers were the first to reach the cave's maximum depth, which required navigating a complex network of narrow passages, vertical shafts, and underground chambers. The exploration of Voronya Cave demands not only advanced technical skills but also specialized equipment due to the extreme conditions within the cave. The cave environment is particularly harsh, characterized by low temperatures, high humidity, and total darkness. These conditions make exploration difficult and limit the extent to which the cave has been mapped. Despite numerous expeditions, much of the cave's lower reaches remain unexplored. Voronya Cave's significance lies not only in its record-breaking depth but also in the ongoing exploration challenges it presents. It continues to be a focal point for those studying the geological processes that shape the Earth's underground structures. The cave remains a symbol of the complexities and dangers inherent in exploring the world's most remote and inaccessible places. Like, seriously guys, please start protecting your ropes against stone rubs. Take some sleeves or other protectors with you so you can buffer the rope itself from rubbing through on the rock walls as you descend. I really, really don't want to see anything like that happen to you all.
I look so to your episodes. It is so scary and exciting all at the same time.😮 so glad you always come out of it safely. Thanks again for another wild adventure. 😊 love to have a crystal.
99% of the comments reflect the entertainment value of this content as it is portrayed. Less than 1% of the comments note the occasional lapses in momentary judgment or negating basic safety protocol. At 3:23, Edward states: ..”this dude’s first time rappelling”…..is that first time EVER doing single rope technique or first time doing SRT in a cave? If it’s the first time ever rappelling, why put him on rope in a complex cave with such a massive drop? What was known about his stamina and his ability to effect a self-rescue on rope if he had to? Also, with such a large pit, having been in such a physically demanding cave as long as you were, the last ones to climb are the ones most susceptible to hypothermia while waiting to exit, so it’d be good to be able to create a thermal tent (i.e., garbage bag and candle) to keep warm in case the climber above had difficulty or there was a problem with your rope anchors, etc. I also think there may be too much reliance on ropes and anchors left behind. And you could stand to use rope pads 100% of the time when rope contacts rock or muddy wall faces. Most egregious of all was the tandem ascent. If you’d inspected previously where your rope contacts the lip of the pit, you’d note potentially loose rock and position the rope better and certainly not tandem the ascent. If you felt the alternative (waiting) was not doable, then the group wasn’t prepared. It’s possible the extra weight could have served to dislodge the rock that struck the lower caver. Whatever the cause, it was a dangerous rig and a dangerous decision to tandem. Had that knocked him unconscious, or immobilized, was he rigged so he’d not invert? Could a rescue on rope be accomplished? This channel is generating interest in caving as a sport, which is good, and this is inspiring some to go for the first time. I know the channel isn’t called “CavingSafetyTwins” as well, so I’m glad the near-misses are not edited out. But there were a couple of instances that just so happened to not result in severe injury or worse.

Watched this one guys, and as always, it's spectacular! I'm rather intrigued on how you all began in this type of exploration! Do any of you actually do this for a educational or beneficial purpose? I am seriously thinking of asking what does it take to accompany you on one of these incredible adventures? I am aware that it requires an amazing amount of professional training and time to learn the proper use of all the equipment you have to carry for ensuring your safety down there! What are the costs involved, for instance, in ropes, carabiners and other necessary equipment just to drop into one of these incredible worlds? I have loved studying the subterranean world ever since I was a teenager, even explored some small caves (equipped with ropes, lights and water bottles only, I will willingly admit) but, nothing on this grand scale! How, exactly, do I find more information on the type of obsession that you guys share? And please forgive this question... Are there ever situations when you all begin to think whether or not the risk is worth it and that possibly you might not make it back out alive?
Y’all make me nervous getting so close to the edges of the pits when you aren’t rigged up. I’m so afraid of heights! I’d get dizzy & fall. But I love watching y’all! I just get nervous at times. Oh and when y’all are in water and barely have head room makes my claustrophobia bad! There’s been times I almost couldn’t watch. I’m a great swimmer and not afraid of water. But if I’m in a small place and barely enough room to breathe, no thank you! Love your videos! Just be careful!
The funniest thing about watching your videos in front of my tv, is that I duck down sometimes, or move my head to the side to look around the corner. 😂 Feels like I'm always on your helmet. 😂

So did they go as far as possible or was there still more unexplored cave to go. Did they say there was further to go in an upward direction? If so, I’m curious as to where it leads and if it might take them to the surface elsewhere. That’d be cool!

Well done guys!!!! The sound of crickets and nightlife must sound like heaven to you! ❤
Y'all should get a laser range finder so you'll know exactly how deep some of these pits are.
Yeah they're like 30 bucks definitely a good investment
Smart idea. More like $60 these days but still a good buy.
That takes the fun out of it.
It would only work for pits that are straight down though, there's not always line of sight to the bottom
