  • This weeks episode brings some sad news, but all is well, as Dunblane blows me out the water and becomes one of my favourite places I have ever visited.

Hi Gingerman! My Grannie grew up in Dunblane, her family lived there for over one hundred years. It was very much a wee working class country town then. When its railway was saved in the sixties, it attracted a lot of commuters from Glasgow and Edinburgh, and nearby Stirling Univerrsity. It's one of the more affluent towns in the area now - changed days from my Grannie's time! It's a bonny place -good museum, the Cathedral and old part of town are beautiful and of course our bonny Ochils are close by. Lovely wee place. If you walk through the woods to Bridge of Allan, there's a cave by the Allan Water which is where Robert Louis Stephenson used to play as a child on his holidays - it's believed to be the inspiration for Treasure Island. Lots happened around our way!

Wow the architecture is so beautiful. I've been getting my Scottish history from Outlander 😂, love seeing some of the sights and hearing the history from you.

I looked it up as well. I love that sort of thing. Gives us a little homework.
