"Why tapao so many just to give them away? Do let the rest of the community enjoy catching them too. So many spots in the Ubin area got burned to a desert after you and your tours come through. Yes, these fishes are released by the farms, but let's keep the population sustainable instead of taking everything 'to give away' just so you can feel good about yourself. If you don't need them, let them go and let them grow. They will still be here when you come back next week, month or year. Give them a chance to grow, lay eggs, breed and carry the next generation of fish, so that one day, the population can self-sustain instead of the fishing community relying on those mercy release. Those mercy release may not be around forever, as the kelongs are starting to release them far away from the usual spots because of all the kayakers fishing around. As someone who makes a living off the sea, please think about long-term effects of harvesting 20 fish from a spot everyday/week." - The Kayak fishing community of Pasir Ris & Ubin.
@@redflowergaming7136 After releasing, the kelong will lay 4 large bubu there as well and other kelong will lay net in front and the back of the kelong as well. The fish would have been caught back easily within a week. I dont think you are aware of such. It does make sense in what you say if no one lay nets or bubu there. The chances of them escape to breed will be there. I stick to what i do that i been doing for years. Its either i catch it with just one rod and one hook or the fish ends up in bubu or net.
Ohsem Sifu!
Impressive catches within such a short period. This is Master Class.
Thank you.
